Howdy All. Just wanted to let everyone know that I am finally getting back in the swing and have listed 40+ books in the for sale forum. Hope you all find something of interest there. Ray

Hey Cyberthrasher, They are very handy and as you may have seen, they pivot below the shelf when you need to extract a bottle. I purchased them from Lowes. Not expensive and me being restricted to a sitting position, they are a welcome addition. If you have any trouble finding them, let me knoe and I will see if I can locate more information. God Bless. I will now attempt to get some of my books listed that I did not follow up on in the past. I do apologize. Many of the books that I will be listing are not directly related to leather but provide many interesting patterns and techniques that can be adapted to the craft. All of the books are like new. If less than excellent condition, I will do my best to let you know. I will sell any of them at 50% of retail and in some cases, even less. Make an offer and I will see what I can do but please be fair, as I know most of you are. Will ship in padded envelope and to save my attempting to obtain assistance to take to postal facility, I will just place a $5.00 shipping charge to anywhere in the 48. Alaska and Hawaii may end up a bit more but will check if anyone there wishes to purchase. The mailing charge will help cover my cost for bubble shipping envelope and I will make every effort to combine more than one in package, if possible. I hope to be able to inventory more of the books soon. An individual visited from Birmingham, Al., and purchased many selections from my library but still many to go. Just email and let me know what you want and will handle on a first come basis. 1. $50.00 KNIFE SHOP---WAYNE GODDARD----19.99 2. KNIFEMAKING WITH BOB LOVELACE--29.99 3. I think I was able to get the pics on of my workspace while under construction. A mess but is now much better, although still not complete. The large portion of the shop is where I have been storing some of my leather and other devices. It also has changed and is gradually being cleaned up. No longer have the arbor press pictured. Replaced with 3 ton that is installed on table in large shop area. Much has been changed and will attempt to take some more recent pics soon. Those of you that have said that your place is a mess, don't have anything as messy as the large rooms in my shop. Hard to get around in there anymore and almost impossible when in scooter. Soon to be rectified, I pray. I want to thank all of you again, for infusing me with ideas as to how to put thing together. Gleaned much information from everyone. What a great site with so many talented folks. Best of the best. A smile is contagious. Let's start an epidemic. (No idea who uttered that originally but I love it.) Drop in for a visit when in the area. always some good tales to be told. God Bless. Ray

I will attempt to load a few pics of things lying around my shop space and hope you see something that a leatherworker might be able to use. If you see something, please email and we can discuss details. Nearly everything you may see in the pictures is for sale. Ray

I have a new and unused, 12 ton shop press from Harbor Freight that is for sale. Thought I might make a clicker. Would be best if could be picked up in Opelika, Alabama as shipping charges would be costly, I assume. I paid sale price of $129.99, plus tax and their 6.99 shipping charge. (Wish I could ship it that cheap.) First $100.00 owns it. I did partially assemble the press but never completed. It can be taken apart again, if handling would be easier. Drop me a note if interested. Ray

Hope this might be something for everyone to participate in. What are some of the interesting ways/methods you use to market your wares? Bound to be some very unique and interesting and creative methods used by the many talented folks on the leatherworker.net. No matter what the method may be, it may be beneficial to others to learn of new tactics or, simply ways to better promote what they do. Hope you all find time and are willing to share a bit of your techniques with everyone. Ray

Is that not the truth? lol.

Hello All. May have figured out how to get one of my workshop pictures posted but will have to see if I can get the others on as well. Still under construction, and probably will be as long as I am around, but should give some idea of what I have been attempting to do. Half the thrill, trying different ideas to find out what works best. As always, if anyone is ever in the Auburn/Opelika, Alabama area, drop me a line and visit a spell. God Bless. Ray Whoops, suppose I was wrong as attachment thing didn't show up for me when I submitted this one. Oh well. Another time, perhaps. Back to the learning stage. lol.

It took me two posts to get the picture on and this post didn't seem to do it. The latest post made it okay. Sorry for the double posting. Ray

Howdy Folks, I would like to know if anyone can tell me who makes the embosser or where I might obtain tecnical information about the device. It appears to be a machine that would do a fine jobof embossing but have, and will purchase more, embossing wheels of various sizes. I will attempt to attach a picture of my scan. Not wello versed in this so can only hope. God Bless. Ray

I suppose we all dream about having the ideal workshop but building a personal space to do our thing, is where many of us end up. Different strokes, etc.------ I agree with Scouter. Peter Main has, what I would consider to be the ultimate workshop. Very well done and seeing much of his work, he is first class with all he does. My workshop remains in the ongoing stage and doubt if ever will be completed. Don't utilize it as much when weather is rather chilly as cannot handle cols weather these days. Shop is in a large building and propane has become so expensive, I don't feel comfortable laying out that much and simply stay in the casa. My shop is set up to allow me to perform most everything from a seated position, due to physical condition, but works well. Many times ,things get in the way after I have stacked up goodies and must find a nook for them. Currently using a space about 12 ft. x 28 ft. and have it packed full of treasures. I am always looking for a better way to perfom my tasks so end up shifting things around. I keep the larger tools, press, and leather stocks, in the large part of the shop and works out nicely for me. I enjoy seeing pics of everyones work area and have picked up a few ideas from some of you, and have been able to put together things that work. This site is great and one can learn much, just by watching and reading. Next time I can figure out where my pics are, I will attempt to place on the site. God Bless. Ray

I also attempt to by U.S. made items but not always possible today. Punches appear to be heavy enough to do the job and at $10.00 per, it may not be a bad investment. I have taken chances with items before and most of the time, all was well. Hope it works out if you buy.

Great belt and holster. You should find plenty of work using this one as an example. God Bless.
