Hi all, I will start this topic cause almost all the links in my old post here got broken. Sorry for that, I probably do have some fault in that but still don't know how that happened. Also I want to say I am sorry I just had no time to post here more often. Had some big orders this year and still I am trying to catch up with it all. I am also expanding my workshop and opening additional arts and crafts studio. It should have been done at March but the workshop is constantly busy so I am forced to delay the whole thing couple more weeks. Will post some pics as soon as I do move... Ok, and here are some pics of my work... Btw. all of you that have seen them do not hate me please, I just want to have a topic here with no broken links and 8 pages of nothing... Thanx for understanding Big size side bags - based on WW2 side bags from some old BMW motorcycle, or so I have been told... I did promise to make more videos and I will, as soon as get my workshop in shape... Here is a short one you have already seen... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuWgs5ud4Mk&feature=youtu.be

Hi all! I have had a weird and exciting year so far and that is one of the reasons I didn't have much time for posting here... will write about that later on... Just a couple of pics of latest custom orders, nothing special... I have some leather seats to work on next month so that might be interesting... And some fashion bags... That will be my first ) Cheers S -
Thank you very much I'll do more videos, will try to make at least one a month... Really hope the pics could be shown, don't get it why downgrade allowed size, just funny while monitors are becoming larger and 4K and 5K lol... weird... Thank you Twin Oaks, I figured it could be something like that... best regards all

first, the leather you work with should be something you're sure will last for decades, I work with my stuff for 15 years + 5 years in school (but realy I grew up in this damn workshop...)... so I don't explore to much with new exotic materials... as for the dye, the ones I used here were mostly some italian made dyes but I often mix them to get the shade of colour I need... there is few diferent types of dye you should read about, and I'm no expert here so corect me, the dye that soaks in to the leather (use it for main colour of leather), and the paint that is ment for the edges, its more thick... on this seat i used basic black first to fill the area around the actual logo, and then I did the logo in this orange/something shade... but I see a lot of people using opposite approach, first going with light colours and the twards darker shades, and I think that makes logic... but on this seat me and the owner had some diferent ideas that were changing from minute to minute so it was mostly improvisation with dying... in the end i used a water based varnish to bring it all back to life, give some softness and shine... not water resistant in the end but who wants can use those sprays no problem... under the leather is a spunge with closed cells so even if the seat is left on the rain it can only get some surface discoloration that dissapears when sun comes up, no water will be soaked deep into the seat... cheers, Silk ok, i'll try my best to capture some of that too cheers

hi! yes, I use staples often... here is a pic from my phone how its done... Hi, I use glue but what is more important I use this fantastic leather that once its handpressed and dryed it stays like that and its very firm and solid, so no gun dancing inside holster... one other important thing is that I use double layer of leather just for the edge peice, but what you cant see in the pic is the inner shape of this leather peice... its shaped to perfectly fit along the gun... so, even with no pressing and stitching only on the very edge the gun will stay in place perfectly... but thanx for asking, your observation is great!! cheers, silk -
