A small back peice for a harley...

Here is a small pouch for two (canon 5dmk2) camera batteries. Made this for myself and got a lot people asking me to make more. It's cool cause it shows one of possible ways to construct this square shape. Hope you find it usefull... the front part the front part in shape the main part with belt holes and the front part the finished leather pouch there is also a small peice of leather in the middle, between two bateries... you can see the stitching on this last pic... cheers, silk

to be perfectly honest, I have two similar seats waiting also, one is here from month ago and the other is here more than a year :/ just cant make it all in time and some customers wishes just leave me speachless, instant creative block

Thanx guys @Cybertrasher, sometimes I get lucky and find some old scraps and leftovers that can still be used, sometimes people give up on working and sell this stuff realy cheap, machines and all, allways a good bargain. Choose what's good and can be used or reused, machines for parts and stuff like that... this last seat gave me a lot of trouble... I have copied the peices from the original thin fake leather... so, the real leather is much thicker and the whole thing didn't fit as it should have... a lot of stretching and forcing it to fit... finaly I decided to cut some sponge off :D and it worked... so, everything in place now and realy confortable to sit in... cheers, S

Thanx David!! for the background I mostly used puncher A104 and for slight 3d on the lettering and other detail i just used P975... I usualy go over the background couple of times to get that sandy look and to loose tracks of tool shape... on some older stuff it bothers me now when I see tracks i dont like ) Have to get some more tools but not sure about quality when buying online... all the stuff I got are from this most famous american firm called Taiwan lol thanx for replying!! cheers, Silk

I rebuilt this one for an old DKW motorcycle... hope to get some bike pics soon... The front part was shaped by hand, no tools or pressing machines, just moistured leather and my hands stretching it... few pics of it drying, from iphone and finished

thanx man!! For the edges I use Costabril, Omac, Kenda and other italian brands, depending on what I find on the market at the time... for the leather surface I use the same brands... for the polish I found this water based thing that I'll check the name.. cheers! Silk.

Thanx guys! more stuff soon... and about the speed, today I only managed to make 2 tooled belts, basket weave style, so, I guess it has something to do with moisture, pressure and other meteorocozmic stuff )

that's it my friend, simple but does the trick!!

if by speeding up molding you meen using rubber moulds (two big rubber peices and a holster with a gun mould in the middle being pressed by a big 5 ton press) or something like that, my experience tells me that is wrong way and the holster just doesnt hold the gun as much as it should, plus it looks like crap... the shaping and moulding is best handmade... but if you guys spend hours on waiting for the leather to dry by itself, that is just apsurd... so, dont be afraid of helping it dry... just my 5 cents... then again, it does depend on the leather quality too... cheers, Silk

why dont you guys use hair dryer or calorifer to dry holsters? why wait? the leather tends to shrink a bit while drying so it needs to be tooled a little after drying, but just enough to stretch it so the gun fits easy... try that... but dont burn it!! S

I made this set yesterday from scratch. Dying leather, cutting, sewing (machine), shaping, polishing, taking photos, eating and drinking coffe in the meantime... so all of it... started 9:15 and finished around 15:00... did some smaller things along the way... 250$... considering it was monday I think that's ok edit: it's for a smith&wesson 686, 4 inch, 357 magnum revolver, little pouch holds 6 bullets and the leather belt is 2 ply of premium vege tanned leather (same as the holster and the pouch), solid brass buckle and screws, waxed thread and what not...

@cyberthrasher I think I'll use it more often, so cool for vintage look... Here is a new seat from yesterday. A friend makes seat pans so I ordered a suply that should last for few months... here are the first two samples, diferent size and shape... and the seat based on one of my first designs...
