  1. I am just using a Hollow Ground Standard Tandy blade:) I have been looking for some used knives, but in the mean time I have been using this knife a VERY long time and it is good enough to get the job done I guess:) BTW...THANKS!
  2. THAT IS A KILLER TRUCK! I love the Flathead in it! Though I hate owning them! To expensive to maintain for me... My buddy spent 10,000 bucks rebuilding his Flathead about 2 years ago and now it needs to be overhauled again already! Unbelievable that they ran for so long; now the parts are so pricey and they don't run well in Florida weather. Constant over heating issues.
  3. MAN I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A SITE LIKE THAT! PERFECT!!!!!!!! IT IS ABOUT TIME WE HAVE SOME USED TOOLS FOR SALE WITHOUT A VINTAGE PRICE TAG!
  4. I'll just have to remember that Bob, when I remember my Aunt who was killed in a brand new Ford Pick up in 2002 because she was broad sided by someone running a red light and the seat belt mech failed and the door swung open and when the truck rolled she was under it and was crushed by her new truck... Don't get me started on who should be sued...but no it was a "freak accident"...Please don't get me started on how FORD AND ALL AMERICAN CAR MAKERS MAKE NOTHING BUT GARBAGE! SINCE 1970! Lets forget about making a car that lasts a working class guy 20 years. Lets make sure he spends 100,000 bucks on a 18,000 dollar car in PARTS in 20 years! Ok spaz out done... I know your retired...and I am just a mere 35...but still a spade is a spade. And I still love my Ford! CIRCA 1955! NO SEAT BELTS! But I'll be thinkin about ya! ANYWAY! Back to what this is really about... If someone is told by the doctors that they shouldn't drive...it is probably a good idea to listen since they will be on drugs! But if something as simple as a strap, that is basically exactly like the ones pregnant woman wear while driving it should in theory be exactly the same scenario...a temporary solution for a couple weeks until the stitches are removed. Pregnant women wear them for months at a time. You could just make something like this that is padded like a pillow .... They also recommend a 3 point seat belt...but hey those have all been tested and DOT approved..... Everybody has some idea about it...I am just stating what I see from an obvious stand point from the picture you showed...looks like it works, and would pop open in a real accident, so WHY NOT! Heck the Bracelets I used to make a very long time ago with 1 snap, all you had to do was look at it hard and it popped off... but that was before I found real snaps! NOT FROM TANDY! hahahaha
  5. Man that POPS!!!!! It is just a shame it doesn't ever say Tampa on it LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT JOB BLUESMAN!!!! Sewing is great texture is awesome, the silver plagues are a great touch...and the rhinestone cowboy! TREMENDOUS JOB! I bet it feels GOOD to have it all done:) I know the feeling! ON TO THE NEXT ONE
  6. DO YOU HAVE ANY PICTURES OF THE CHAIR? I do have an idea, but it would help to see a picture of the chair and if it is possible to detach one side of it.
  7. Yep Luke that is 3/32 lacing...all 642 holes worth:)= 8 hrs:) hahaha
  8. I am originally from Florida:) I used to go to the old town meet every weekend with my hot rod, and spent about 12 years in NYC and I was a member of the Rumblers CC. I got my rod from the Turkey Rod run in Florida, and spent well most of my nights off building and tweaking and being greasy on a small budget. I love all cars, classic trailer cars to nasty rusty annoying rat rods...it is just in my blood. But I have a very fond place for a person who has nothing but that machine and lives day to day making it something original. Any rich guy can toss 100,000 bucks at west coast customs to build you a perfect car (that normally in my opinion is a waste of money); but it takes a special person to appreciate something that they struggle for just to keep on the road. That is the east coast attitude. I have what I have and I love it! It may not have a pretty paint job, but it runs like a scalded dog and scares the neighbors:) LOLOL
  9. I feel or ya...I am living in a ruff 55 degrees f ...hahahaha One of the reasons I love it here...always outside air conditioning:) After growing up in Florida I love the cold! Anyway... This Challenge sounds VERY HOT! LOLOLOL

Just get ahold of your local custom countertop place. Mine had pallets of sink cutouts sitting there for the taking. I got the feeling that they have to pay to have them hauled away by their dealer, so the more they can get rid of the better.

  11. Honestly if you are just trying to be charitable... Screw the Insurance, Screw the Label, and Just drop off a Few to the hospital you want to donate them to with a note saying what they are...your name is not on it and you have done your good deed... The problem with the world is people are so afraid of getting sued that the whole point of living is turned into fear... I say dang the torpedoes..if you have tested it at all, and it works, then give them away to the charity! If the doctors think it is a good idea to use, then they will give them out. For me, The leather looks a little thin, and a single snap is pretty week. 10oz leather with some buckles might be better...or more snaps that are at least positioned the proper width of the seat belts.. If they actually get into a wreck while driving..it won't matter anyhow. These days they will be knocked out by the airbag that punches they in the face anyway and wake up dazed in a cloud of powder. But...for what you are describing this use is only intentioned for...Just make 10 of them for the doctors to hand out, go back and check on them in a month or so and see how it went, if they seemed to get a good response or not and if they want more??? Then take it to the next level...DON*T EVER LET POLITICS GET IN THE WAY OF A GOOD DEED!!!!!!! It is not an actual safety belt...just something to keep from ripping out the stitches...and looks perfectly safe to me. If someone got hit hard enough, I guess the snaps would pop or it would slide down and the seat belt would do its job normally! But if your name isn't on it, then...WHO KNOWS WHERE THESE CAME FROM?!?!?!?! But they could be your test dummies:) After all, charity is for charity...NOT THE GLORY! So just a box and a note:)
  12. Don't apologize:) A granite back splash would be AWESOME...but it really is not necessary...but if you want it to be a very pretty place to work, then YES! Maybe you can come decorate my work space:)... I am just kidding!!!!!!!...all kidding aside, It is very nice to have a solid work table like stone, and granite is the perfect stone for leather work, it is water proof and heat resistant. Heat guns are very safe to use indoors, and they have a high and low setting. They will only burn wood if you leave it there a while and I am sure he knows how to use one just fine..... It is like a supped up hair dryer..very easy to use and very safe! For anyone with common sense. In order to burn paint you have to use it very close, doing what he is doing, I am sure it will not be used in that manner.
  13. It is a Swing Arm Saddle bag for a motorcycle.
  14. No that is my customer with his new 1 of 2 door panels:) It took 100hrs.
  15. Personally I always use 5/6 oz veg tan for the outsides and tooling for wallets, and on the inside I normally use a 2/3 oz veg tan. Or pig skin.
  16. Don't worry, once I am done with the other door panel, this truck is going for a proper photo shoot:)
  17. 51 FORD DOOR PANEL MOUNTED!!!!! WOOOHOOO!

  18. I think a Picture tells a thousand words... I will load some more as well after some cropping and I get through the 50 pics I took. You can see the Zippo Case he is wearing and it unsnaps off the belt loop and gets snapped directly to the door! How is that for GREASER CHIC! Also we had to weld on some extensions for the door handle and Window Crank, but for some reason the Door shaft is Steel and the Window Shaft was Aluminum???? WTF????? Good job FORD! So he needs to do it at work. Anyway, just one more mod to the door, and it is FINISHED!!! On to the next one...but after the TELE and my TOUR with Sixgun Republic!
  19. Removable Zippo Case mounted to the 51 Door Panels:)

  20. Ok so today will be the last day:) I got the foam mounted on the wood panels yesterday, and made a Zippo case the is removable with a belt strap, and spent a few more hours lacing. So far about 6-7 hours of lace work done...And I am just under the time expected that it would take for the panels. Today will be the last day and tonight we will mount this door panel! I dyed the snap placement for the zippo case Red so it is a sign of dude your zippo is MIA:) hahahaha And before you say anything about the rivets not being on the edges....I had to do it that way because the panel edges curve with the padding so it would have been working against me:) And you can't see it when the Zippo case is mounted. I think I will add M.I.A to it as well:) LOLOL
