  5. Ya these where on the inside of the old Tandy Leather camp stool pattern...it is available in the Tandy Library I believe. I got this one from my dad:) HE ROCKS! I am merely the vessel!
  6. Actually I did ask the curators if they where real and they said yes. You are right about the first 2 chairs. They are from the 1800's. The sight you shared is very cool, but those are French,English and Italian chairs. These are Russian and Swedish rulers during the time of this castle. Finland was tribes until Sweden took over in 1249 during the Crusades and then in 1800 Sweden fought Russia for control and lost to the Russian empire at which time Alexander I took rule over the Provence. The first 2 chairs are from 1800 era, but the last chair is original 1527 at a time of Swedish rule. Finland did not become its own independent country until 1917. Though the first written language books of modern day Finnish (Suomi) was written in mid 1500's. So the architecture and many of the buildings that still stand from that time are Russian due to the fires that destroyed Helsinki and Turku the old Capital. Though many original Swedish built buildings still stand in the country side. If you would like to see more pics of this castle send me your email and I will send you a link to picassa.
  7. Of course I wanted to try them:) And I did save the best for last.
  8. Some very fine examples of Leather Artisan work from 1400's-1500's still alive and kicking! There was a lot of leather items in this castle but these really caught my attention. Not only is the leather work still in tact but add in the ORIGINAL EUROPEAN GROWTH WOOD and that I think is the real reason these pieces have lasted so long. Todays wood that we use is fast growth and just don't have the age craftsmen where using from those times. Nothing beats a piece of oak that was here since the beginning of time for a piece of furniture designed for a KING and his family!
  9. I saw some leather chairs from 1500's today! A trip to Turku Castle was pretty awesome! There was some really amazing Leather stuff still standing teh test of time...if you ever wondered I am here to tell you what you leave behind will LAST FOREVER!

  11. Video 1 of the '52 Tele now posted. CRANK IT UP!

  12. Well it was going through the pedals...but they where off...the only thing it seems was on was the reverb...but next video will be a side by side with an absolutely dry amp! Like I said I just put him on the spot...but it is all there...next one will be post mod!
  13. GREAT COLOR CONTRAST!!!!!!!!!! Great Job AGAIN!!!!!!
  14. Excuse me it is an original Esquire...not a nocaster...but he is one of eh best techs in the world! If you talk smack maybe Steven Seagal and all his multi millions in original blues guitars will pay you a visit......Cause Scott is his guy to touch and handle all of them:) BTW...I WANT AN AMP!!!!!! OK I have edited a small vid.... This is just put together and I put Scott on the espot. There is no mods done at this point cause I had to give it to the client while we went on tour...but Scott will have it this week and begin the mods. Compensated saddles, orange dot re-wire the toggle and bone nut, and pups are on order...maybe next week it will be finished after our next round of shows.
  15. Set up is a custom made set of 11.5,15,19plain,28,38,56 I am tellin' ya, there is no tone lost. Bridge is set though a hole in the leather, so it is flat mounted to the body, and the strings run through it. Compared to a Vintage hot roded Nocaster, if you closed your eyes you would never hear the difference between the two guitars. I did do a small video, but Scott insists on doing a better one...but lets see if I can edit a smaller version of him just playing it.
  16. IT SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!! There is no difference in My Guitar players Nocaster and this one! Sustain dies out only about 1 second before his! And it is because of the Plastic Nut that is on the stock Fender Neck...but a bone one will quickly fix that problem and we may get 3-5 seconds more sustain. The leather had NO EFFECT on the tone.
  17. ALL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Except the pick up Bezel.
  18. GUITAR ALL SET UP!!!!! What is really awesome is the leather and the way I designed the bridge hole now has NO EFFECT ON THE SUSTAIN!!!! I was so relieved when we had 2 Telecastors and 2 amps and the sustain was only fraction of a second off, but that is the plastic nut that Fender put on the neck...now after I am done lacing it, the nut will be replaced with a Bone one, and we will modify the tone selector and add an orange cap. But it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
  19. OH YA!!!!!!!It has been a very good day! The Back lace is complete, picked up strings and jack plate and longer screws for all the hardware, then Scott Wired in all the electronics in between taking a break on the Gretsch he is re-fretting..59'6196! AWESOME GUITAR! and then I took this bad boy home and started on the front lace...2morrow the set up continues and then we plug it into the Vibro King and Silverface Bassman and CRANK IT UP!!!!!!!
