Ya the guy is very tall as well, about 6' 6" so I don't think the leaning will be a problem. As far as the Pipe...not sure if it will remain that way or not. It is illegal, and it will have to be changed at least for inspection.

Drilling through leather though it is possible is almost IMPOSSIBLE. You need to get a hole puncher.

Sometimes this site doesn't load an image after you have started a topic after a few minuets... You have to copy it reload the page ..LOOAD IMAGE FIRST and the paste you original text. Also images here should be 1200-1500 x 1200-1500 ish pixels to fit the screen nicely. I have a huge big screen Imac, and your image was so big I had to scroll all over the place to see the image and find the close box. It may only be 600k but the size is still huge. I hope this helps. I won't do this for everyone, but if you want to email me an image I can invert it and make it black and white in about 2 minuets in Photoshop CS4or ya:) Gimp is free and it takes a lot of work to do what you want to do. So I now have the Drink Holder mounted and the strips punched ready to lace...I am finally getting into the home stretch of this door panel. A couple more things to tighten up with the dye, and this thing is ready to get mounted! The Next Picture and update should be mounted inside the Truck!!!!!! WWWWWWOOOOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

That is the main reason I never sew anything...I ALWAYS USE LACE...sewing breaks and rots then you can't fix it properly. The bikes look cool! YOUR SEAT CAME OUT AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Most solo seats never have a decent lift in the back, and that is why I designed mine the way I do, with a high spring mount to get more lift out of the back it may help your problem.

I am not sure how long these classes are , but when I was in the scouts our art classes had 1 day of leather,1 day of wood, 1 day of braiding,and every day was an archery class. Sounds like you have a good handle on it. Remember that whatever you know about leather is most likely 100x's more than the kids. So as long as it is fun they will have a blast. I think something that everyone has missed is a <Small Pouch that can be tied around the kids waist with some rope. They can add their names and maybe some border stamps. And of course paint them...that is something they would really like I think. Bracelets are cool, the only thing about the string is after it is on it will be almost impossible to get off, and if it is snapped, they will most likely loose them, so ...ya tying them is better:) Since you have an archery class, why not make some arm guards..if you have enough leather for that. That is just stuff off the top of my head, and it sounds like you are on a good path! I just thought I would add my 2 cents:) Have a great Summer!

Right now coming up is the Scandanavian tour late June-Aug and Sept. dates in Sweden,Norway. We will see what shapes up for the US tour in the late Fall.

Dye does go bad if it isn't used in a certain amount of time, and you have to let it sit for 12 hrs. sometimes. I have had many bottles of dye go bad on me over the years because after opening them they didn't get used fast enough. This could be something to think about as well. Keep dyes stored in a dark place and avoid sunlight on the bottles. Also use what you have to without leaving the cap open to long....So pour small batches and use those. I have tried every brand of black out there, and sometimes they just have a weird reaction and get lighter somehow, like a faded black; I know then that the batch has gone bad.

I like the lace pattern...I may have to borrow that:)

6 days left on the May Challenge:) In June: Twin Oaks will be returning to take over. Thanks to everyone who participated in the last 5 months challenges and enjoy your Summer! I dig i all...I am not sure about the aqua either...but in some weird way it does work:) I will get video!!!! I love that circle dirt tracker look! and to put a v-twin in it with straight pipes is just CRAZY! And illegal...but whatever:) hahaha I think he still has a little left to do, and again, I am not sure if the aqua was from an old bike, or what, I just got the picture today and he got it all finished being put together today I think, but we will see what it turns into. I have an idea for the seat, something abstract and something I drew a while back...so lets see if he goes for it. Abstract is HOT right now, and I have a really cool geometric design already done that may work! I have to get my hands on the pan and see what needs to be modified to fit the shape of the seat as well, but it will be 99.9% done already. I could knock it out in 2 days if he goes with that picture. To be continued:)....

I went off the template of the back piece he emailed me, so if it was off it would not have been my fault, but luckily we both knew what we where doing:) LOLOLOL You know what they say about big hands don't ya....PLAY BASS:)

I have been busting hump since last night to get this project back on track, and made a pretty big dent between last night and today, I will work through the night, but here is the latest as of right now...lots of color to add still, and still tooling like a mad man. It had been a while, but now I am hitting these hard again! Enjoy:)
