You want demented Tiki I will show you demented Tiki! I think tiki can be very beautiful, and very classy. As everything I guess Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...but I have drawn a VERY DEMENTED TIKI!!!! So now I just need a little time to carve it out and I will post, but I did spend about 2 hrs coming up with the perfect design! And my son, the little Monster Critic was cracking up, so I know it must be weird! hahahaha

YAs it does have lines, La Linea is Italian for The LINE...If it was The LINES it would be called La Linee. If you want to get REAL TECHNICAL:) Watch the videos you can see them on Youtube...awesome and hilarious Cartoon!!!!! Basically it is about making a cartoon sketch from 1 stroke FOLLOWING THE BOTTOM LINE "GROUND, WATER, WHATEVER...even on the motorcycle there is gaps between the middles of the tires....sometimes he did connect the lines like in the lower part of the motorcycle, but there is always a gap somewhere in the LINE. Again I really love the cartoon (AND THE SEAT!) ,they used to play it early every saturday mornings when i was a kid.... With all things, the simplest design wether it be music or art can sometimes be the most difficult...the smallest thing like a stupid line and some guy like me wakes up and calls you on it ...hahahahahha SORRY!

hahahaha I wasn't trying to be mean I swear!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! And I just want to say I do LOVE IT! Besides you make some ultra sick gear, this is just a minor thing, but I think you understand what I am saying anyhow:) NO OFFENSE INTENDED!!!! AT ALL!!!!!

Well, usually it is a dictatorship on what is going down, but we did put this one to a vote:) Even if you tiki looks like a China doll...it is still very primitive and kind of the way it should be for a first tiki and I think at least you tried and where not afraid to show it anyhow! So kudos to you for that!!!! Awesome Job Winter Bear!!!!!!!!! I have been to busy to start mine, but I do know what I want to do...I just have a few more days myself:)

That is me every morning when I wake up! hahahaha It is very cool I like it, it brings back some childhood memories! Great Artist! It still cracks me up! My only question though is; Why is there a connecting line where his right foot is? That was kind of the thing; there was always an open space between the line drawing. Anyway....I do love it! Here is one I remember from an episode on a motorcycle! Actually Now I have let it sit in my mind for 5 mins...Ya Know La Linea means LINE! NOT LINES! ....I guess there is no way to correct it and get rid of the line segment where his foot is touching the line+. Without totoally redoing it...and the lace work took so much longer to do than carving out the little guy...so I say DANG!!!!!! Anyone who has ever seen that cartoon knows that there is ALWAYS A GAP IN THE LINE! God I do LIKE YOUR WORK!!!! You know I do, but this one has really kind of well...no beating around the bush...you really screwed the pooch on this one! I could never live with that line! Especially if it was going on my bike! God not to sound like a horses arse...sorry!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry! But it is true:) All I have to say I guess is .....Deep Sigh..."&/%"()!=(!/&!/...DANG! hahahaha Maybe the picture you found was connected, maybe you didn't watch this cartoon every morning....but...I photoshopped a version that your seat "should have been" Cause well it is going to bug me until I find my next mistake to beat my head against a wall...and I make plenty so that shouldn't be long.LOL..but other people will for sure pick it apart like I just did, and even if the bike is immaculate, the seat will stand out like a sore thumb to them as well...at least anyone else who used to watch it as much as I did as a kid.

So I have a great client who is always asking for me to do some mods to some of her already existing stuff. I don't mind doing it from time to time. I am pretty pleased with the outcome. I added 2 Conchos with Fringe and a Round Diamond Braid, then dyed the old White thread Red. It was just an old Plain Custom made seat from an old Shoe Maker who made stuff for bikes like bags and the occasional seat from time to time. He passed away about 7 years ago. But his stuff still lives on. I am happy to mod some of his old stuff for his clients. But now I must get back to work on some real stuff! I got a huge list of stuff I should be doing...I wish there was more time in the day!

Backing For A Tank Bib 'n Fender Cover....
chancey77 replied to Mudruck's topic in Motorcycles and Biker Gear
I have always seen them curl real bad, so after making a couple and the same thing happening, now when I make them I put a very, very thin sheet of metal in the back and then cover the back with deer skin and lace the front and back together. You could use lexan/acrylic. I just always have some brass or metal laying around. And if you use a metal you can bend it to fit the tank! I have done them before with just a leather backing, but after getting baked in the sun, they did curl up...so now I always use a stiff backing. Kydex/acrylic/metal, all should be good. Then use the softest leather you can get locally, sheep, deer, rabbit, maybe even a piece of 2-3oz with the kip side out would probably be ok. Maybe just go to autozone and get a real leather shammy...they are normally deer. And under 5-7 bucks. bu-dum-ch...hahahaha Thank you , thank you I'm here all night...lol! Also another idea that is super cheap is a heavy Felt like 1/8" ; 2-3 bucks tops. Maybe someone else has another idea, but I think that pretty much nails it on the head! For sure use a stiff backer middle plate! -
