be careful if you pull the needele. badgers have a needle bearing that can be damaged really easy. you can also put cleaner in then hold your finger over the nozzle to back flush. then spray without finger to get all the crap out. then follow above. i mainly use acrylics and it builds up fast. good luck

i would skiuve the gusset. i also get the gusset edge wet and the use small spring clamps to fit it to the back . when they dry it's alot easier to glue and sew. -

How Do You Handle People Wanting To Cancel Orders.
grittyroots replied to billymac814's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
i always take a deposit for my furniture work. it is usually 50% this should cover my materials and time. if i have bought the material and have started the project i will not refund the deposit. if i have bought the material and haven't started i will refund the deposit less material. hope this helps gritty -

Purse Help!
grittyroots replied to immiketoo's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
i'm using goat for the gussett, but you can skive the edges of the gussett. then get the gassett wet it will be more plyable. this has worked for me, but i've only 3 bags. are you doing square 90 degree corners or a radius corner? -
Purse Help!
grittyroots replied to immiketoo's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
i punch my holes around the front and back then i glue back to gussett i use little spring clips every few inches to hold it all together. then i poke holes through the punch holes and gussett. i will do about 10 holes at a time, so i don't have to remove the clips all at once. hope this helps. i vote for the hidden skull gritty -

i've been doing leather work for a few months now. i have been mostly doing carved bracelets, but i'm interested in learning all i can about leather. i'm a cabinet maker as a profession, but i'm also a toolmaker/ welder and i also do silversmithing. i'm happy to help anyone who is interested in any of these areas. you can see some of my work at grittyroots designs on facebook.
