Hi HS, Looks really nice, I must admit I like making them too, takes me a little longer 1-2 hours I would say to make one! I like the idea if moulding the case with the shape of the phone makes it look more uniform, might give that a try on some of the larger phones I get asked to make... That stubby holder is awesome, very nice workmanship there! I am going to be buying some basketweave/rope type tools soon to have a play with, it does look awesome but i bet you have to really take your time and be carefull with the stamping?? Cheers, Nathan

Thanks Tree Reaper! The antler buttons look natural, ill get some and see wat they are like on the bag! Hi toolingaround, This is anothr great option i can definately see working with the bag. I think I may have no choice but to use some hardware for the straps unless I just simply sew them onto the bag permanently ... Shoes look good!

Looks nice, i like the strap and leather buckle look! I know wat you mean, i did a case for a freind for a htc sensation, HUgE phone case was a lot bigger than i expected !

Hi Guys, Hope we are all well! Just thinking about a bushcraft bag and how to make leather buttons to join the pockets and possibly the straps aswell.... Im having difficulty finding a way without buckles or any other sort of man made attachement to close pockets and secure the main flap for the rucksack type bag... I was thinking of making some leather buttons for all but from anyones experience will these suffice and hold???? Also I was thinking of using stoned oil hide for a distressed/well used look, will I still have to finish this to give it more waterproofing? Any help advice or otherwise would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Nathan

Cheers mike ! Adam really useful pointers, things to think about and apply when finishing my leather projects! If I took better pictures the cases are cut by hand so are not quite straight/square, I have struggled cutting round corners but basically cut straight lines around the edge and sand/burnish... Cleckheaton is still awesome, I love it here !

I have been struggling to find any local suppliers until now phil, Im going to call into JWoodleats though as they arent too far from me! You are right though, it seems like we dont have a great choice in the UK... Tandy are ok but when I have ordered from them the quality isnt always there even from the "Oak" range. I would like to go and choose my hide and have a look around and see what else I could pick up : )
