I have dis mantled my first saddle. it is a 1974 circle y roping saddle. is it necessary to re use the ring type nails or can i just use galvanised nails of the same length and size(on the rebuild) ? thanks so much

Ring nails have good holding power but are a pain to remove. Some people use screws instead, or in combination w galvanized nails. --John

so upon re assembling the saddle would u do away with the ring nails?. this saddle will no be used for working only as a trail saddle maybe 10 times a year.
