See now that has a story all it's own. Needs a picture

See this again is how I get in trouble cause then I get crazy thoughts, wouldn't that scrap.of damascus be pretty as a gib. 3 hours later gib made. Or let's take my limited machining skills over to the mill and machine one out of brass. 6 hours later much cursing bingo . Hahaha but yes not hard to do at all thankfully I had one laying about. Do I now own this machine. Yet it sets eyelets. Yep the tool guy in me gets that glazed over look of oh new tool pretty fancy .....reality I might do an eyelet 3 times a year. So I'm guessing this machine was mainly for shoes back in the day? I'm gonna clean it up regardless maybe a quick spray of paint. It is foot pedal driven just not pictured.

All better. Do they usually just have 1. I have 2 metal handle Osborne's and both just have one, screw hits that so I assume you dont mess up the slide part. There is another fornthe blade too. So technically 2 . I prefer the all wood one for cutting straps myself. Pictured with the all metal osborne

I'll add it to the folding table lol! Very true Fred, I like bringing tools back to life,

Is a gib the c shaped partrhat goes in the slot ? The blade has one but not the slide part. It was missing. I think I may have a spare or 2

Now you've done it. I'll have to fix that. I already replaced a screw(was missing) and my father laughed at me it fit fine but the head was bigger than the inset hole. So I took it down to size and made it flush and pretty. I get way down rabbit holes fixing up old stuff R

This came as part of a shop buy out I did. Cleaned it up . Dont need another strap cutter but its prettier than the just metal handle ones. Thought some folks might like a look. Any idea on age?

Woburn mach Co. #2. Also from the buyout I just did. Always thought these looked neat . Needed a good bit of clean up. Functional regardless. Do they still make these or are they just oddities of bygone days?

Yikes at that price cant believe parts arent still available, I'm not sure all of the machines in my shop add up to that lol.

Sold pending funds. Thanks folks

I've always wondered what those were for Thanks for the info, makes perfect sense but I never would have thought about that. The above video is the only one I have found showing the Rossley table too. Best Ross

Not sure in burnishing lace. But the confusing part to me is all the burnishers I've seen are wood primarily and seen a few plastic hand ones. So this being a steel bit made me scratch my head.

I gather these folks did some police stuff so that makes sense. Trying to figure out value if any for it.

We are leaning homemade. It was well built and made with skill but still may be homemade. The bits however I'm guessing were commercial but who knows. Ross
