Yes from leatherstampstools. Sponsor here I believe, I really like that pattern a lot.
-
Well got one made for me too. Wickett and Craig leather skirting. Some stamping and I put an R on it for my name. Back is 2 to 3 Oz veg tan machine stitched. Notnbad for a quick couple hours. Imo anyway

I have 16 pieces of green leather what appears to be veg tan. It seems to repel water on green side. Not all pieces pictured. All are approx 4 to 5 feet by 24 to 30 inches. 6 to 7 ounce. Some have some discoloration on edges. See picture. Selling as 1 lot $500 for all of it located in nepa poconos. Would prefer pickup. Ross

Yep these are beautiful. I wish I had your patience 32 hours just unreal. Great carving. Ross

Thanks. Yes amazing how often they need a new knife from the knife shop or a new sheath or or or or

This is my youngest thumbhole sling. Starting to think I need one too. But in brown not black!
-
That's my take. Just a comfortable way to hold the sling when it's on your shoulder. But that's me. @Dwight for some reason needs it so he has extra room for coffee and a cinnamon roll. hahahahha
-
Not sure there is a why more of a why not. Don's pattern pack a has regular sling and the thumb hole pattern one. I had never seen on before. So I Made one for my youngest and then this one for my oldest. My oldest and I both liked the thumb hole and found it a nice addition. Is it needed. Nope. But I liked how you could hold it that way when the gun is on your shoulder. Ross Ps. I have no affiliation with Don Gonzales, but I do like the pattern pack and sure enjoy his you tube videos he shares a lot of great knowledge.

Thanks, glad to see you are still around the forums!

Made this sling up for my 15 year old. He asked for black with a derr and his initials. Don Gonzales Thumbhole sling pattern. Wicket and Craig black skirting , oil tan for the back. Sewed on machine. Thought I'd share

Thanks for all the thoughts folks. It's interesting to see tools like this imo. I suspect edge bevelers were the repurposed use here. Folks were resourceful in using what they had before you could just buy what you needed or wanted. Even stamps folks hand made before we had craftools etc. Interesting
-
Well how about that! Thanks Mike
-
The two with the brown handles which appear added came in the same group of tools. Older tools too. All the craftools were number only so 50's to 60's
-
Seem awful small for that but possible
-
I thought about that. If they were they are to dull now. But possible Lol Mike but only while doing leather work
-
Ok so these strike me as picks that are in with the metal nut crackers. But obviously been modified. So twice I've gotten these with other leather tool buyouts. Were these some leather tool or were they homemade for maybe stitch ripping or or or? Rose
-
Yep it sure is. I had a family member who reloads say the same too. Mystery solved
-
If it's homemade it was well done. They are differnt and screwdriver crossed my mind too.
