  1. This isn't the first request I have heard for Tiger thread. We will put it on the list for consideration next year. Thanks for the suggestions and welcomes. Now, on the thread...can someone point me in the right direction? I see that this is Ritza thread? What # would be what you want? Is there a source domestically I could buy a sample?
  2. Thanks for the good review on this new tool! It took a long time for us to get this out there as we wanted to make sure it was exactly what Weaver and Jeremiah Watt wanted. We are in the process of developing additional attachments. In the works right now are French Edgers, Bissonnette Edgers, stitch groover, and stitch markers. The target date for these is with the launch of our next new wholesale catalog which is April 2016.
  3. Keplerts, I am glad to hear you are giving Hermann Oak a try, and I thank you for your order from Weaver! I can assure you that if you order anything we are selling as Hermann Oak from us it is in fact Hermann Oak. I have never seen any of HO's leather marked by them in any way to distinguish it as HO. Possibly they are marking it for some people but that's not something we have ever asked them to do. If we were selling non HO leather marketed as HO we would not still be around as a Hermann Oak distributor. I'm glad you are happy with the leather you received. Visually there is not much difference between HO and Chahin tooling leather, however HO is usually a bit more golden color. Both are sold as tannery run but generally the grade on both tanneries' tooling sides is very good.
  4. Banwell, I know I answered a question for you about embossing in another thread. I wondered if you had any more questions about the clicker. There is a video on youtube and it does show how the cam action works and how you can lock the handle over. We have sold a lot of these over the last few years and have had very few complaints or returns. It is a very simple machine with not much to break or go wrong. I have seen some being abused hard in some holster shops and saddle repair shops and they were still holding up well. These are made in the USA right here at Weaver in our in-house metal and fabrication shop along with all of the other Master Tools Equipment. Here is the youtube link to the video. https://youtu.be/3x8bh7jW0gs

  6. Larry and Isabel, thanks for the kind words, I enjoy working with you, and its always nice to see you here at our auction every year. Simontuntelder, good to hear you have had good experiences with our tools and machinery. We do have a European Distributor. Logis de Cordes, in Firminy, France. www.logisdecordes.com Contact info is on the website, if you have any trouble contacting them let me know and I will get in touch with our European rep for a more direct contact route. There is also a leather workers trade show coming up in Firminy in a couple weeks. The first one there put on by Leather Crafters and Saddlers Journal, we are not displaying there but our distributor will be displaying a lot of our supplies.
  7. Banwell, yes we do have people using the clicker for embossing. If you have standard flat stamps you typically need to put an additional 1" board or piece of plywood under the clicker board for some additional height. Then with the clickers cam design you dial in the pressure you want and the handle will actually go over center when you go all the way down and will lock in and you can leave it sit for a few seconds like that for a nice embossing job.
  8. Hi Banwell, Clearance from the base to the bottom of the clicker head is 2-3/4" these are shipped with a 1" cutting board which cuts your distance down but is removable. Thanks for the inquiry.
