First Fixed Blade Sheath
DTrap replied to DTrap's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Yes it is hand stitched and I did predrill the holes. The blade itself is .28" thick and Plus I also wanted to make the sheath as thick as the handle so it would not hang past the edges. I could have used a wedge up top but really prefer the look of everything the same width. -

This pic is the middle of the sheath. Not even where a belt loop is. -

My brothers Scrapyard 1311 needed some new pants so I decided to give it a whirl. This thing is a beast of a sheath,6 layers of 8oz thick and 7 layers where the belt loops are on the back. The inlays and overlays are Elephant hide. Man that elephant is seriously tough. I couldn't scratch it if I tried. It was still pretty easy to work with though. The altoids tin pouch is removable and could be mounted to a pack if needed as well. The top of the Esse fire steel also unscrews and will hold more kit as needed. All in all I really like the way it turned out.

Thanks and no I didn't put anything on the copper. It's already almost 2 months old in these pics and it is starting to tarnish a little but I like the look that it gets as it tarnishes. Gives it an aged old world type look I'm hoping.

Thanks guys. The dog is an American Bulldog. He is still just a pup. Only about a year and a half old.

My brothers dog needed a new collar so I worked something up for him. I bought a strip of copper from the hardware store and cut, drilled, and sanded it to make some decoration for it. I also hand bent it in order make it fit over the leash attachment point. Used copper rivets but couldn't find any copper buckles. Then did some lacing along the outside of it. Also decided to work up a leash to kind of match it. Let me know what you guys think.

Thank gafer, Springfield Leather often has it in their exotic leather section. Not to expensive either compared to other exotics.

They look great. I love the inlays on the glock OWB and mag pouch as well as the IWB design. -

Custom Sea Snake And Spike Dog Collar

Thank you very much guys. Wishful, I didn't have to treat the edges. The sea snake is wrapped all the way around the veg tanned and glued and stitched. -
