Hi all, I recently acquired a Singer 177-2 lockstitch machine. As far as I can tell, and from what little I have gleaned from the internet, it's a simple repair machine with a cylinder arm. You control and feed the work entirely yourself. It's a cool machine, and I plan to use it with some of my high schoolers. I'm curious if anyone has any more info on it as I have found almost nothing, and very little that I could verify. I'm also in need of a bobbin case, and I just don't have the knowledge to know if any other bobbin cases will fit this, as there are simply no old stock parts available for this machine. I'm hoping that the bobbin case it universal and I can just plug and play. I have found the model listed here: link. and the manual and parts list here: Link.

Hey everyone! For sale is a Vergez Blanchard pricking wheel set in excellent used condition. I would put its age at around the 75 year mark. Nice patina on the brass that I've left untouched. Slight pitting on the steel neck, but nothing concerning. Wheels included are 8, 10, and 12 teeth per inch (which is really 7, 9, and 11 stitches per inch). The 10 tooth has a small chip on one of the teeth, but is not noticeable in use. Buy nature of the tool, you are only marking stitches, not making holes. Also included is a false stitch marker, which imprints a stitch in places you would like to appear stitched or designed with the imprint. Really nice set here that has many years of use left! Asking $150 shipped.

I'd be interested in a piece or two of the bridle. I'll keep an eye out for further posts. What's the story on the locks?

Purchased this Blanchard head knife a few months ago. The logo is a little different from most that I've seen. Any idea on the age?

Let me know if you'd be interested in selling any of your prototypes! I recently posted in the wanted section for this style clam as mine is ill-suited to the way I sit and hold my work.

Thanks for the offer. I appreciate you taking the time to find it and take a picture. I currently have a clam that is very similar to the one you have. I'm looking for something a little longer that I can hold at an angle without having to bend too much. Thanks again!

Looking for a Vergez Blanchard/Abbey England style saddler's clam. Not a stitching horse, but a clam held between the legs on an angle. Here's a link to a VB clam: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Vergez-Blanchard-Stitching-Clam-105cm-European-Clamp-stitching-pony-/221959009760?hash=item33adc9b5e0:g:1x4AAOSwRLZT2tcJ Thanks Austin
