  1. I'm sorry as well. My servo motor is fine, but I've seen where some machines can do one stitch at a time, which would be great when I'm top stitching on leather and want to have that control. I truly apologize for not explaining my wants and needs. Yes, my servo can go slow, but I've seen where they do one stitch at a time. It would be great to have that option when top stitching a handle on a leather purse for instance and want that great "line"!. Another member also mentioned the speed reducer ! I apologize for not being clearer. I Thank You very much for your input! )
  2. Hi YetiBelle! That's the one I have, and I feel like I'm a good operator, but I've seen machines do that one stitch at a time. would love that for top stitching! Then that's probably all I need, is a speed reducer! Thx so much! Going to check it out! )
  3. New Table, servo motor and machine from Nick o sew. I just looked at Amazon and they have that motor you mentioned . $199.00 &35.00 for synchronizer. I hope you have a great weekend! Do I need the synchronizer?
  4. Thx brmax! I'm making leather bags/purses now and would like to be able to go slow! I'm working with 3-4oz right now, but it can get a little heavier with lining, etc. I'll check out keysew. Thank You so much! )

  7. Uwe, Hello! One thing I did was to adjust the feed timing as you suggested. I am getting a nicer stitch length. I do like this machine an awful lot, so I may not even consider a different machine at this time. Thank You for your help! Also, I find it difficult to get replacement parts for my Consew 227r. I'm interested in a complete bobbin case/hook assembly. Does anyone know which machine would be equivalent to the 227r in which to find parts? Thx again for everyone's help! )

  10. I Thank You all very much! I look forward to hear that info as well Wizcrafts! Thank You for looking! I think a Cobra 4 is a bit much for my needs. I don't plan on making heavy leather projects. Uwe..I'll chk that Juki out as well, maybe I can get a better price, who knows! I just want to be sure to get the machine to fit my needs, without getting hung up at seams. Thank You all very much! )
  11. Hi Madmax22! I think you're right about this! I find it a little odd that I can't find a lot on line about this machine, other than the basic description. Thank You for your input and time! Suzanne )
  12. Hello to everyone! I am looking for input on the Cobra class 26 machine. Right now I have a Consew 227r, but find that it quite often gets "hung" up right before going over a thicker seams. I even find that the stitch length changes somewhat as if it can't pull heavier fabric through at the same rate as it would, say, a couple layers of canvas. I find myself tugging from behind to help it along. I know how to adjust feed, timing, etc. I'm working with more leathers ( 3-4 oz.) now for bags and purses as well as heavier canvas and would like to try some 7 oz. leather as well. Spoke to Steve who was very kind, and was told it would meet my needs, but that was about it. I would Love to hear from someone who has used it, before I decide to take the plunge! LOL How does it sew going along zippers for instance? I Thank all of you for any help and information. Suzanne ) Hope you all have a terrific day as well!
  13. Hello! I have a Consew 227R that I use to make bags, purses, etc. When going over thicker seams, the foot gets hung up and wont move over that area. I've tried "less and more" foot regulating pressure to no avail. I've also a thicker separate piece of fabric under the back area of the foot to balance it out. I end up having to "tug" at the back of the fabric to help it move over the seam. I hope someone can help me with this issue. I can't Thank You all enough for your help and time. Happy Holidays!
  14. Hello! I just wanted to Thank You again for directing me to MJ Foley! I found the parts I've been looking for for my Consew 227r. with help from you. So nice to have a source! Great customer service too! Have a great day shoepatcher! Suzanne )

  15. Solved Problem! )
  16. Hello to all! I have a Consew 227R, and was wondering if anyone knows how to get the presser foot regulating screw back "on" again? Yes, LOL, I loosened it too much, (it came off) and can't seem to get it to screw back in/on again. Frankly, I can't really seem to tell a big difference when it's tightend or loosened anyway. Does it have a "big" impact on the foot pressure, or does it just make slight adjustment? This machine is fairly new to me, so please be patient with me! LOL Thank you in advance for any suggestions or help! )
  17. I can't Thank You enough! I'll definitely let them know you directed me to them! Thanks shoepatcher! )

  20. Hi to Everyone! I Love making purses and I'm working with faux leathers/vinyls before I try my hand at real leather. I'm wondering if anyone knows what type of sealant/ edge finisher used on outer finished edges of faux vinyl purses sold in stores? I've tried using edge kote and other types of sealants, but just isn't the same as the ones I see in the stores. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thank You all and have a great day! Happy Sewing!
