Thank You so much Shadowryder! No issues at this time. I'll check out that manual. Maybe the format is easier to understand. Best Regards! Suzanne )

Hi Shadowryder! I discovered this forum just recently, because I was looking for some imput on the Consew 227R-2 and couldn't fine any information...until Leatherworker.net! I just purchased my Consew 227R from Nick O Sewing. I have a Sailrite Lsz1 that I have, with the help from Sailrite videos, done "most of my maintenance". But, when I look at the Consew Manual...Hello...a little tricky to figure out some of the "details" that I'm most interested in. I wonder if you've had any luck with this manual, or might have found a better source of which I could look it up on line. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have to add, I'm a member of the Shadow Riders Of St. Louis, Mo. So nice to have friends to ride with! Keep on riding, and I wish you all the best with "that" Consew manual! LOL I know " I" could use some help with it! Best regards! Suzanne : )

Just wanted to let everyone know, I purchased the Consew 227R-2! It arrives tomorrow! I'm excited about using this machine, and want to Thank all of You again for your imput. I did have to take into consideration, distance, service, etc. I will still be lurking in the shadows (LOL) reading about all the great imput on this forum. Pay it Forward! God Bless!

Hi JohnOK ! Yes, I agree! I truly love everyone's advice, but I too have found that it's nice to have a local dealer if possible, for future service. More costs would obviously come in to play if I would have to ship it out for service! And the dealer I'm referring to, is not that far away! Thank You so much and have a great day! )

Thank You Ron! I'll be checking the 2700 on line now. Might even be able to get a better deal. Seems to be the same machine. Best regards!

Thank You so much for the help! Thanks Art! I will look into the Cowboy, and actually left a message for him just today to get back with me. I imagine shipping costs, etc. might help me make my decision. Thank You Hockey Mender! If if can handle some of the jobs you have listed, I'm sure it will do what I need! Thanks Tramp...I too Love to bike! All the best to you! I'll give you a follow up! This forum is teriffic ! Finally, I found some feedback on a Consew227R-2! Thanks to all! )

Hello to everyone! I'm new to this forum, and Love all the help and advice that's offered! I mainly make quilted handbags, like the popular ones out on the market.I had a Singer 20U, and now have a Sailrite Lsz1 which I like, but at times simply doesn't with seem to be quite what I need. I realize I need a compound walking foot. I've been researching, and tried out the Consew 227R-2.(Nick-O St. Louis area) and I liked it right away, but would love to have some imput on this model. Would another manufactuer/clone of this machine be just as good? Quite often, I'm working with "thick" layors of quilted fabric, that I can hardly get through the sailrite. I would like to start working with some leather (purse weight). I also try my hands at many other projects using canvas. I am going to take some of "my" samples to try out on the Consew. I'm on a tight budget, but have saved some money! If someone out there knows of the right machine compared to the Consew, please let me know! I can get the whole (Consew) package for around $1895.00. Right now I feel pretty confident about this purchase, but I just want to be sure there isn't an even better deal!!...before I spend my hard earned money! Again, I want to Sincerely Thank all of You out there! This is a terrific forum. Best regards! Suzanne : )

Hi! I am new to this forum, and am very interested in purchasing the Consew 227R-2 from Nick O in the St. Louis area. Do you like this machine? I would be working with canvas, heavy layors of quilted fabric, and some light leather. I make purses, just like the popular quilted ones on the market. With other manufactueres (same machine) out there, it can be a little overwhelming. I plan on going back to dealer and try out some of "my" samples that I'm used to working with. I've saved a long time for this purchase and it will be my last! Just want to feel confident about my choice. I would Love to have any feedback you may have to offer. Sincerely Suzanne )

Hello to everyone! I'm new to this forum, and I did post a question, but it may not be in the right topic section! I'm interested in the Consew 227R-2 machine and I'm wondering if it easily sews over several layors of quilted fabric? I have a Sailrite Lsz1, but I sometimes feel it just doesn't quite cut it all the time. I make purses just like those popular ones out on the market. I also want to work with leather, but not the "thick" stuff. I work with canvas sometime as well. I've tried the machine out (with their samples) and plan on going back with some of my own to try it out. Would love to hear some of your reviews on this machine, for this would be a large purchase for me. Thank You so much to all!

Hello to all! I am interested in the Consew 227R-2 machine. It would be a big purchase for me, so I'm trying to find out as much as possible out there as far as reviews go. I realize from research so far, that comparables are Techsew 2700, Cowboy 227, Singer etc. HELP!! I too make handbags, "heavy" quilted fabric just like the "popular" ones sold on the market. I sometimes work with leather, but not the real thick leather that would require the Cowboy 4. Would the Consew 227R easily go over "think" quilted layers? I plan on going up to dealer, and take some samples, but I still would love to have some feedback from someone out there? Thank You in advance for any help! Sincerely!
