Great work. I know first hand about Mexican Braid -
I can only imagine the time you must have put into this. Oh yeah I can! As I said before the detail is much more than could ever be expected. The color after a few months is going to be very nice. Very ambitious project! Jim would be proud…..

Thanks for the compliments. That is so awesome that you took the time to do that. I was really frustrated when I realized I cut the lines to deep around the lips also. I have trouble just drawing stick figures so this is a big leap for me. Thank goodness for tracing paper! Thanks again

There are two tabs at the bottom sides that will get eyelets. This is where the Cover will be joined underneath the padded backrest. I want to create some kind of pull string type braid and put another tassel hanging from the bottom center. Any suggestions? Also I am not pleased with the eyes on the Indian, how could I have done this better? Any suggestions on any other areas?

Oh yeah, Never thought about the craft as a hobby! Once I saw the art I wanted to try it myself. We now have two mallets and fight for table space.. I'm working on a backrest for my Motorcycle now! I'm using a Mexican Braid around the edges. Whoa…. Be prepared to spend some time on that one. very time consuming

This is addicting! My inspiration has been Al Stohlman (never heard of him 3 months ago) AWESOM! I got my wife a basic leather carving kit $200.00 for Christmas 2007. $1,300 later the kitchen table is getting smaller. Need to get rid if a kid for a leather crafting room. A guy can dream right! Looking forward to getting critiqued.
