Want to buy Weaver leather creaser with attachments.
  4. I had a Cowboy 3200 with table and it fit like a glove. it takes a while to adjust, I'll give you that, but all in all it was a good fit. this post was about selling a machine, not to criticize.
  5. I can tell your from Canada, you've been doing this for 3 long years! wow!
  6. Maybe I have carving and tooling confused. i made this fo myself, sort of a practice piece, so I use what scrap I have laying around. I like contrasting colors on my pieces anyway, sort of artistic license ;-) Thanks for looking...

      Thanks, George!

I checked out your website, too, and you've got some cool stuff going. I liked the field trial bridle.

      Thanks for the encouragement,

      Monica

  8. This is my first attempt at tooling/carving. i like the way it came out but will change a lot in technique and shading.
  9. Save some more $$$ and buy the right machine the first time. i bought 2 lesser machines and sold them, lesson learned. you'll have it for a long time. i have a few machines and I just bought a Consew RB206 added a speed reducer and it sews everything well, you won't need a bigger machine unless your going to sew harness leather 10-12 oz and up. i like the Juki and some of the consew premier machines look nice but haven't seen them up close.
  10. Mahogany is one of my favorite edge dyes, looks sharp on lighter leathers! I cut my dyes 50/50 with denatured alcohol.
  11. weight of the Consew 206b5 is approximately 182 lbs Table, motor and machine head.
  12. A Big Thank you to all for the input on which machine to buy. This morning I bit the bullet and bought a Consew RB 206-5 from Zamir sewing machine company in California. I spoke with Zamir for close to an hour and he informed me of the differences on all the machines I was interested in, at length. Basically they all do the same job, he said the Juki and the Cosew are the workhouse machines and I couldn't go wrong with either. The consew left over 300.00 to buy accessories over the Juki. I think I made a good decision, (you know how artists are at making decisions;-) I would tell anyone interested in buying to call Zamir, he sure helped make it easy. Thanks again, George
