My wife has been wanting me to make a bible cover since I started dabbling in leather about a year ago. I wanted to do something special, so I decided to try to carve this image on the cover. Not bad for a first attempt I reckon. But I would like to have smoother more precise beveling. P.S. this is my first project post here so any constructive comments would be appreciated.
Both sheaths are excellent! I particularly liked the dark one as well. Would you mind to explain you process for dying it? Did you airbrush the light color and then the dark around the edges, or did you apply it by hand? And if so how?
This is great info on the painting I hope to try soon. I just completed my first strap and was wondering what is best to seal it with. I used 10oz veg tanned leather, stamped, and applied Eco flow saddle tan antique gel instead of dye. I have super sheen and resolene available but have never used either. Are these ok or is there something better.
New leathercrafter here, practicing from about 3 months.... Into knife sheath, EDC pocket organizers, eventually belts and holsters, maybe a bag or two.
