  1. This pulley might do the trick? http://www.grizzly.com/products/Grizzly-Single-V-Groove-Pulley-6-Pitch-Dia-1-2-Bore/G5436
  2. Do you have a good 6" pulley with the two set screws in the same spot as stock pulley?
  3. whoops how about these? https://www.sailrite.com/Schmetz-Needles-135x16-DI-20-Pack-10 Let me know and I will just order them from you since you have been so helpful! thanks!
  4. I went to tractor supply co. And found a 6” OD .5” bore and fits perfectly on the Consew but the belt seems a bit too thin do I need a wider belt? And is this set on the machine properly or do I need to add any washers to take up the gap a bit?
  5. Are these the needles i need? SCHMETZ 50pcs Size 18 20 21 23 24 135x17 DPx17 Walking Foot Sewing Machine Needle - $16.38 https://amzn.to/2CORkbL

  7. Umm... i'm so glad I watched this youtube video The oil case at the bottom was BONE DRY! thank goodness i haven't run it yet because I was waiting for my servo to come in that's coming in tomorrow! So i just drenched the entire inside in oil any part i could see moving i oiled it down. I even check the top wick and it was bone dry so i filled it up with oil as well. Has anyone replaced the grease in their Consew 206 yet? Im thinking of checking mine what grease do you guys use?
  8. Ahh great point! So if I go buy 2x6 from the big orange store and cut them right away and glue them together your saying they will eventually twist and shrink and crack? So would getting the 4x8 oak ply be a better bet then?
  9. Actually I might just buy a sheet of 4'x8' x 3/4 plywood and cut it half then those in half and make two tables for $52.98 ( $26.49 ) per table top. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Columbia-Forest-Products-3-4-in-x-4-ft-x-8-ft-PureBond-Red-Oak-Plywood-165956/100046409
  10. Now that I took a look BOTH are sagging! you are 100% correct! I could just buy two 2"x6"x8' boards https://www.homedepot.com/p/2-in-x-6-in-x-8-ft-2-and-Better-Kiln-Dried-Heat-Treated-Spruce-Pine-Fir-Lumber-161713/100037451 ( $6.04 each ) cut them in half and square up the edges glue them together making them 48" x 22" x 1.5" thick for $12.08 in wood ( buy some dark stain ) then route out the opening. Would that work?
  11. Here is a pic of my current table just your typical industrial table
  12. ahh shoot i didnt find it when i searched i posted on that thread thanks!
  13. So I have dabbled in a little wood working and was thinking of doing a butcher block style top for my Consew 206RB-2 machine. Should I just resurface the existing table OR make my own butcher block OR just buy a butcher block table top and cut out my own place for the sewing machine? or just stick with the old school green table and just focus on sewing dangit! Here is a blog i found where the girl redid her table but I might want to replace the top and route out my own hole opening etc. https://theprojectlady.com/trimming-collection-bag-for-industrial-serger-sewing-machine-diy-tutorial/ i LOVE the darker wood top and the flat black legs the image below i think was before she painted the bottom flat black. like pictured above.

  15. Which belt do you guys recommend? Is the link belt really that much better? Or is it just a cool looking factor?
  16. Looks like the sp-1100 is the clear winner by a long shot with tons more power. That will be my next motor after I mess around with the cheapy Rex servo motor.
  17. That’s an excellent point I want to setup the consew to just sew snake skin and ostrich and other skins into an 8oz veg tan belt and leave it be just keep it as a work horse and then keep the Rex to do seats and thick canvas materials for $50 bucks it’s a no brained now I just need to convince the wife to let me keep both! I ordered the cheapy Rex servo from amazon for $100 what is the best servo FOR THE MONEY that is for the consew to run on?
  18. Alright, I just got home and unpacked everything the guy used to sew upholstery and seats and just gave me a big tub of extras what is all this stuff? and I found a BIG pair of scissors in there too! Anything else worth keeping or chuck it? I see the top of the machine has some battle wounds but they are built like a Sherman tank so not too worried about it. It spins perfectly but I'm going to oil it down and maybe check the grease ( time to look up some youtube videos! ) HA! Ill be sure to fly under the radar if I find any more deals so she won't be tempted and Ill take that beer!
  19. This weekend has been a jackpot of sewing machines!! First I got the REX 26-188 for $50 and now a Consew 206RB-2 for $300 but I swear I’m officially done...... The consew was ultimately what I was looking for and figured the Rex would tide me over.. now do I keep the Rex or sell that? I’ve ordered a servo already so going to use that for the consew. What needle and thread will the consew hold for leather belts? Thanks so much I’ve learned so much here (and spent money )
  20. Nope that wont work These are the kind that fit my machine I guess ill have to either grind these down OR put some epoxy or JB weld and smooth the bottom out a bit.
