So I went to go see a ZIG ZAG machine from online but he already sold it but he says I have this JUKI in the back i said meh alright lemme look. SOO it turns out to be a damn walking foot JUKI LU-562-3 ( I can't resist a good walking foot ) BUT I said naw I don't need it He said well I can let it go for $130 with table and motor ( even though when you turn the motor on it sounds like a 1950 power plant buzzing then warms up ) I said what the hell deal. Then got home and unbolted the power plant motor and tossed it. So My questions is do I really need this walking foot if I already have the Consew 206RB-2? I know the 562-3 has the small bobbin AND it doesn't have REVERSE " The "-3" subclasses lack the reverse mechanism, which allows for greater forward stitch length." But are there any pros vs the Consew? or can one be used for certain thread/leather and then another for another purpose? Thanks!

Where would you recommend getting the pig skin from if not Tandy? and what should I look for in pig skin for good quality?

I bought a sample “exotic” skin pack from either Tandy or Springfield I forget and am doing some testing and LOVE the look and feel of this skin but can’t identify where it came from. I’m sure the leather experts here can identify it ASAP! Thanks!

I just got this snake skin off ebay $60.00 was that a good deal? Im going to make a few belts from it and was wondering what the best way to prep before gluing? what glue to use? and best oil or solution to use to seal the snake skin for water/sweat proof ( I am thinking Resolene? ) or make it softer so it bends and isn't too brittle? Also if anyone has a good source for snake skins or ostrich or gator I'd love to know

I am going to be making a few belts soon and am looking at some different options for backers to sew to the back to hide the flesh side of some belts. Anything that's more waterproof than not? What thickness should I look for? thanks!

Just installed an edge guide and man that helps sooo much keeping the leather straight!

Found some temporary round head hex bolts from ace that will do u till the flat ones come in from openbuildpartstore good call Uwe those will work perfectly! Tested it out and the edge guide works perfectly!! Now I just need to work on my corners

Saw an ad some guy is selling a bunch of old machines just wondering if anyone can spot the models they are and any worth getting for leather especially the juki?

Alright I flipped the spacer the right way ( whoops ) and looks like there is just enough gap for one of those flat head hex screw and maybe counter sink it into the bracket and it will work! This is one one screw in but it needs two so it won’t rotate. Thanks so much everyone I’ll keep posted with results!
