This was my fil's. He is gone now, and I have decided to try his old singer out. I got it oiled up and turning good. I can't get it to pick up the bottom thread. I found a manual online, and I think it is set up correctly. Any ideas?
Well, like you and almost everyone else, i'm broke too. I will say that a horse is about the only animal I would send to the vet. Just like the rest of us, all you can do is ride it out and take your lumps. I feel your pain, and sympathize.
The store in Rapid City, SD does good for me. Clay has taken good care of me when I order. I would also reccomend the store in Bloomington, Mn. I don't know who I talked to, but he was very personable. I have shopped there in person several times in the past.
I have lots of ideas already. There are some great thing being shown around here. I've done several items, all have been tandy kits. I'll try to get pics up. I use mainly 3d stamps right now. The tooling I do is pretty simple. I'll try to get a pic of my boys too(6&8). I'm teaching them the little bit I know. They don't get much done yet, but we have a good time together.
Looks like it was a good time, and a nice place to work on a project too. Hope to get to Rapid and meet Clay sometime. I don't get out of town often though.
Hello from another new guy. Up until about 2 1/2 years ago, I was in Plymouth, MN for training every couple months. My favorite stop was always the Tandy in Bloomington. Not sure who was at the counter, but the guy was always friendly and helpful. I miss that place.
Hello from Pierre, SD. I'm fairly new to leathering(as my boys call it). My late father in law got me going. I mainly stamp simple designs. I'm moving towards some more difficult tooling and sewing projects. Lack of time and not enough practice are my biggest downfalls. I know I'll get better with time, but I'm an impatient person. See ya'll around, Chris.
