The mini flasher in the Fractual design, I am really happy that the design in my mind works in larger scale. Just have to make a test with a purse and see how it works. This one is sewn with a machine. I am leaning towards the final ones should be hand stitched. What you guys think?

That’s some nice craftsmanship… even though I don’t use that sort of tool I am tempted to order one. Whoop troublesome customers in style

My new design pattern, here it’s used on key rings. Chaos, fractals and the random nature that is life will be the bases for my new work. The idea is to make every item totally random with no fixed pattern also for bags and wallets. No fixed size, taller, wider, shorter. To reflect the individual physical appearance. And the dots a reflection of the inner state. Every mark a time and place in ones life.

Well i used the word piping for the lack of a better word but its just leath folded of to it self. So it didnt have a core. I am gona try and make the same but with realy over size piping core this time. IT was not that hard to stitch i feared the worst I had a tight dead line. But i glued and stitched it with no problem. Thank you... im realy fond of red and black combo. -

This is a little cardholder/wallet thing. Classic on the outside and a wild yellow color inside. I wanted a really small card holder for summer that also can hold bills. I the firs one for my self but people have gone crazy for this one. And nameing this one either Mini Flasher or Pimp Inside just for the fun of it.

What got you started in this hobby/addiction?
AgronZoti replied to Tac's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
I’m a silversmith, one day I came up with an idea for some buckles and needed belts. Bought a strap cutter and some leather… then one day my niese talked about a designer bag she wanted that cost 2000 dollars, I said I would make one that was better for her. That was 4 years ago, and I haven’t been doing anything ells sins then. -
Well i have read that there are parks were they have to thin out the heard, and the animals are taken down in a humain manor, and as far as i rember they had som sort of gov. certificat.. alot of ppl thies days have a problem with roo hides, becouse thier huge numbers are a problem, folks get rather creativ killing them... i think thats why roo leather is baned in some places... witch is rather stupit... becouse the ppl living with the problem roo's are still gona get rid of them... I say its better to buy from them and give them and ecenomic incentiv to do it as humanly as posible. (I didnt have time to run this thrue a spell checker sorry) Ill try and find the link to that park...

Guys be nice… The only thing you can try to find is animals that have to be put down because there are to many of them… you can reason that these animals are going to get killed no matter what and the skins might as well go to a good cause. And the only animals that I can think of are kangaroos from reservations in Australia. You can find ethical and government approved kangaroo hides. Plus the money goes to the reservation so the kangaroos can live natural lives… plus kangaroo is the strongest leather there is but its pricey Animal parks and such stuff were they have to put animals down is your best bet to find hides… and talk to your girlfriend if she is cool with that…

Well the 3 cord test was to se if the timing on the bobbin was ok… ’I unscrewed the bottom hatch to the bobbin case or end of the arm… and to my horror a cogged pin dropped out and a little spring. The spring didn’t worry me it had its place were it sat and was straight forward… But the pin ohh my lord… after testing the timing and placing the cogged pin on different positions along the central round cog I got the timing right, or at lest it logged right for my eyes. The bobbin shuttle claw passed the needle just as the needle moved up a bit and down to let the claw catch the tread. Well a long story short I didn’t trust my skills as this was the first time I tinkered with a machine and I had to test it to se if I had messed it up. Stitchers1: The Pilgram site can you place give me the ling to it… I tried to find it but pilgrim is a common used word and I got anything but the site I was logging for.

Hi All I just got hold of an old 29k62 singer in super condition it also has a retrofitted electric motor… cost me around 200 $ I only hand stitch but I had to have one of these the shop. Also I thought to maybe use it to stitch the edge on belts to bring the price down a bit. Does anyone know what thread sizes it can use? And the only thing with the machine that’s not that good is the foot… does anyone have any experience with new feet that fit it or can be easily modified… Any help and info is deeply appreciated.

Wallet Final test
AgronZoti replied to AgronZoti's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
"I will do that:-) We're moving over to Skåne this fall so your town will not be far away." Cool just on the other side of Øresund... looking foward to it. "Very nice work... nice clean edges, and the stitching looks very professional. Good job!" Thanks Kate... -
You can use wax, rub some in and then work it in with a cloth in one direction… kind of like burnishing an edge.

Wallet Final test
AgronZoti replied to AgronZoti's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Thanks all for the kind words... "Great job! I love the fit and finish. Would you share with us the colors and finish you used? Bob" Sure. I use dye from a company called R.O.C. the dye used for this one is called yellow brow. The strap didnt get atique so on it you can se the base color. Befor i use atique i rubed it with leather fat left it over night to dry. I do this becouse i feal the antique gets much nicer then using it after painting. Then i rubed off the ecces antique with a damp cloth. After im done i use fat again polish and thats it... i dont like to use anything els... i like the leather to look as natural as posible. I do use a Nano spray for items that get exposed to the elements like bags and such...
