  1. Looks interesting, how you are assembling. A scalpel is useful for me in tight situations and the blades are cheap and can be changed when they loose an edge. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

    Alaska Rig

Thank you, first holster was a hold my beer. Took it to the store to show it and people wanted some. It is long, not my type of rig. He wanted it and I made it, just seems like a lot to carry for a 45 ACP. Thank you Thank you, No Sir! It is a Yosemite Sam type of rig. He was good natured as he got some ribbing for the rig.

    Alaska Rig

Made an Alaska Rig for a 1911 with Silencer, and spare mag. Total length of the gun was 15.5 inches, it is a big holster and we were joking that it reminded us of the scene in Roger Rabbit. It was a challenging build with the spare mag pouch.
  5. Thank you Thank you
  6. They are actually for the strips going between flooring types. They pull out harder so work better with the sandals.
  7. I use screw nails, it is for function. The Barge is strong but the flex/strain cycles concern me for durability. Thank you This is a closeup of the nail. They can be found in box stores or old fashioned hardware stores my favorite.
  8. Thank you, I don't make the sole or insole. I find sandals on the internet and cut the sides off and use the pieces as templates, even reusing the buckles. Thank you, she deserves more than I can give her. I find sandals on the internet and cut the sides off and use the pieces as templates, even reusing the buckles. Thank you, she wanted BIG. This is the first pair, it shows the pieces cut off and used as patterns.
  9. Finished Gini's large sunflower sandals. Now she has a go to town pair and house pair. She's my kryptonite.
  10. Thank you, it was. Thank you, it is a great canvas, and the cases are inexpensive. Hope you have fun.
  11. I like how you used the butterfly latch. The little details make a difference, good job.
  12. Told Gini I was going to take it easy today. Something simple and fun. The stitching is for looks. It is still drying down.
  13. Thank you, the hole give your thumb a place to go through and wrap your hand around the sling. Some say a little easier to sling the rifle. Thank you
  14. Thank you Appreciate it Thank you, the backgrounder by the bear is from Sergey N. It is a sharper angular pebble type. Thank you, glad to hear.
  15. Thank you. Finished the sling
  16. Working on a thumbhole sling. Ran out of steam tonight, will finish the grizzly in the morning. The pattern is a Don Gonzalez that is modified.
  17. That is great, may have to use some on one. You have me rethinking my pattern.
  18. Forgot to mention the piece is only secured by 2 rivets to the skirt (flap), to remove the holster from the belt easier undo the buckle and it comes right off.
  19. Was wondering if anyone would pick up on it. The piece in the middle of the photo is to prevent the holster from shifting when drawing or holstering the gun. The holster still will slide on the belt, yet has little vertical play. It is 3 pieces of leather 2 for the shelf and one for the keeper all the same thickness as the belt.
  20. Thank you Your welcome, if you have any questions about it let me know. sharing helps us all.
  21. Thank you, the leather was glued to the sides using Barge. Scuffed up the cork for better adhesion and added screw nails to help. The nails were installed after the photos.
  22. It wasn't bad, water and patience were needed when folding the holster. The positive side is it maintains its shape with little flex.
  23. Thank you He has more than I deserve. Thank you, try to build like every piece is for me. Thank you You are right, simple and clean has a charm. Thank you Thank you, it was fun folding.
  24. Finished a holster for a Ruger Blackhawk with 7 1/2 inch barrel. This one reminds me of my step fathers. Built for a lifetime of use. Lefthanded cross draw with loops on the right. This is the first holster I have designed.
