  1. My work hat had a cloth camo band, it needed leather. The hat is beat, kinda like putting fancy rims on a Pinto.
  2. Thank you, you are right, once you have the basics down plus learn construction methods making new things isn't as intimidating. Saw you on FB like the acrylic patterns you are doing.
  3. Started another bracelet, not as detailed trying to keep time down.
  4. Very clean
  5. Well done, I like it.
  6. Thank you, looking for the person you are talking about. lol
  7. Thank you, it is Tandy 6603-00 Thank you, looking for the person you are talking about. lol Thank you, Gini likes wicker purchased it off amazon. They have round too. A simple leather working project, the hardest part was sewing the interior together. A lower cost purse option, seems like where we are now people want lower cost, hopefully we can get them to look at nicer items in the future.
  8. Some coasters also
  9. Been busy working on some things for the local trade days this saturday. Added leather and new interior to a wicker purse, an Old Timer Sharpfinger sheath, Buck 684 sheath. Trying to keep things simple to lower cost.
  10. Thank you, it also helped press down the glue. It wasn't much, cut and nothing bevilled just stamped. Maybe 20 minutes on the stamping. Thank you, went with a ball snap this time.
  11. I was inspired to try a cuff with cabochon, a first. The cabochon colors remind me of Wisteria leading to a flower type theme. Will put the closure on in the morning. Gini has already tried to lay claim to it. Wanted to keep the time to a minimum maintaining a moderate price. Only 4 stamps used in the project.
  12. Thank you for the help, will check it out. Hate to see what cigars are. Now they can put there gum in it.
  13. Thank you for the info, will check it out. Sounds easier than the silicon.
  14. I enjoy my pipe and cigars, so I make things useful to me. Just finished some more. The pipe tools are redone with Moose antler and the pipe rest/tool. I enjoy working with leather doesn't matter what. Love trying new things.
  15. Thank you, a food grade silicone. Thhank you, it can be frustrating. It is a food grade silicone, if I use a split zipper it may help. The challenge of something new keeps it interesting.
  16. Wanted a tobacco pouch, the catch was finding the proper liner to keep the moisture in and maintain flavor. Had to hand sew due to the one piece design. The zipper wasn't possible to seperate causing the issue, plus working on a way to hold it together while using the pricking irons my line wobble. Will try it out and think of ways to improve the process.
  17. Thank you Thank you Thank you, there are quite a few different ones out there. I love the braid work, on my list to learn someday.
  18. Designed this to fit a Buck 112 size knife, it was a fun project.
  19. Did that yesterday. Made a pocket sleeve for a Buck 301 size knife, a Case 6375 will fit with 1/8 inch exposed. A clip was added to keep the knife in a vertical positio in your front pocket.
  20. Sounds nice, question is the pin straight through? Ground in on one side and it didn't seem to have a head. Thank you
  21. Seeing those lightbulbs go off drives me, loved it in my career, not a front office type (hated it). Sharing knowledge helps all of us.
  22. Good idea, learning about slips. The small clips are hard to find, but it will be another option. Thank you Finished a horizontal belt sheath for a Large Case Stockman, messed up when tracing pattern had it upsiide down which makes this one mine to try.
  23. Worked on a pocket sleave for a Buck 301, playing with sheaths for now. Have some mammoth tusk coming for a Buck 112 that I carry. Added knife work to fill in time until could do some leather. Thought it would be easier to add to this thread.
