  1. Got the top pipe holder done. It is 6 instead of 5 happy surprise.
  2. Wanted to make a wall hanger to hold pipes, tobacco, and accessories. Doing a little carving on it. Lots more to do on other pieces.
  3. Sorry I used the wrong words, I used two of the domed pieces that come with the snap sets.
  4. Sweet, loved him on Saturday mornings.
  5. Thank you, that is very expensive. It cost me 50 cents a bowl. Only smoke 2 to maybe 3 bowls a day. Thank you, Jim Linnell has good classes on how to do it. Keep at it. Thank you, I used two domed rivets instead of the flat ones it came with. Glad they are cheap. Thank you. I love cigars they just cost to much. 3 bowls a day cost $1.50 of bulk. Usually only 2.
  6. This is really nice, may try it if you don't mind.
  7. Made a tobacco tray with a carving of my favorite breed.
  8. Nice interpretation of the wallet. It sounds interesting, Gini and I talked about it. Love that they can be donated to benefit the Veterans. May be a little to late to join.
  9. Very nice work, he should be very happy.
  10. Thank you, the pen holder is my design as a pen enthusiast it helps. Thank you Thank you for posting video.
  11. Thank you Please do by all means, I am having a hard time finding the video of where I learned it or it would be posted. Cut the lines, low angle beveler, Lined (heel to toe} thumbprint at a very low angle over where you used the beveler. A 902 to create deeper cracks, and finally a swivel knife for finer cracks. Also as I have heard said "stamp deep", first one I didn't to this degree and it is noticeable. Definitely helps this pattern stand out, and the back is taped with painters tape to control stretch. This is my method and tools used, very close to the video. It is fun to do and at this point not as common as traditional basket weave.
  12. Person wanted a notebook cover and pen holder in matching colors.
  13. Thank you, The notebook was made to take a Midori MD6 which is fountain pen friendly. It is a little wider than a field notes and a whole lot more pages.
  14. My little girl is growing into a young lady. She is interviewing for work and needed a wallet and notebook. Tried a few things I haven't done before to make them special. I am proud and sad, she is preparing to leave the nest.
  15. Thank you for the kind words. I hope so it is more for our grandkids and beyond. Might start a tradition. Thank you, the font scared me when I first saw it. The thin lines had me timid.
  16. Understood, New way of writing in code, cursive they won't be able to read it.
  17. Surprised to see another Fountain Pen enthusiast, it is good times with the inks and pens.
  18. Thank you, it is a Kaweco, Brass Sport with EF nib. I prefer Japanese pens over Western, the nibs are finer. Got it on Amazon 43 dollars.
  19. Thank you. A journal is more personal thoughts you might not want viewed by others. This is written with the view of it being shared.
  20. Made a post on another page and a person mentioned "Quote Book". Had to look up what it was, a book for recording memories and events. This way as you get older you can look back in it, plus your kids would have a way of remembering you and sharing with theirs. The notebooks came today, a cover was needed to make it special. Spent the afternoon making it. Have hammered the stitches yet, will do it.
  21. Thank you, yes I changed from snaps to magnets. Holds strong and is easier to open and close. Thank you, Fountain Pens write better to me than ball points. My Kaweco Brass Sport is my carry pen, through it in my pocket with wallet and dings and tarnish add to it. Plus my Pilot 912 with flex nib and aftermarket feed is fun for line variation. Does flow the ink now.
  22. Finished the bag, spent a lot of time on it.
  23. Thank you, your welcome. Loved Hogan's Heroes.
  24. Thank you, they are from the fonts in photoshop. Any word processer should have a variety of fonts. I think google has one. What has help me is working my patterns in photoshop then printing them on vellum sheets. They can be found at office max. I will case my leather then wrap it in cling wrap and tape it on the back to both seal and make it taught on the front. Place the vellum on top of the cling wrapped leather and use a fine point pen to trace over the lines. For me it is more natural and since the leather is sealed there is no hurry as the leather won't dry out nor will the vellum become soggy. Chased a squirrel there. Thank you, it is hard to wrap around text and join up on the other side. First time for me and if you look below the o in Porch there are some adjustments to line it up again. Yes Sir it can be challenging.
  25. Made a bum bag for air rifle Field Target, at the match a person looked it over and wanted one. He mentioned that the Europeans have their names on them. Well we put his name on with a western flair.
