Just finished up a knife sheath with a very special meaning to the owner.
The carving is of a Indian medicine wheel to represent his heritage as a Lumbee Indian. The six feathers with the two at the bottom representing him and his wife, and the four outside feathers representing his children, and the yellow on the tips of the feathers represent his six deployments overseas while serving in the Armed Forces of the USA..
The sheath is constructed of 7-8 oz veg-tan leather, with three layers because of using a welt instead of rivets so the knife wouldn't cut the threads. This sheath was custom fit for this knife and has a snug draw to it, so it doesn't flop around.
