I attend GenCon every year and the amount of dice some people carry is crazy, like a small backpack full. I would suggest posting on the GenCon/ComicCon or other con forums and see if people have interest. You could also check out a local game store and see if the owner would want to carry them. I know around where I live, we have 3 or 4 well known gaming shops and they carry a lot of locally crafted items like chainmail dice bags, etc.

Thanks for the feedback. I first sanded the edges and then finished burnishing with white tokenol burnishing gum. I have watched a few videos and yes, making a vshaped pocket is good when you have multiple levels, but I really only have 1 pocket on each side, but I will take that into account as I move forward. Yes, Yes it does feel good knowing that i have improved. Yes, the irons don't go all the way thru 1. I have thought about this and prepunching everything 2. the leather is pretty thin, but I will see what else I can find 3. I just found out about these the other day, so might investigate them more. 4. This is what I really want to get into, but was scared when buying my first set of tools. Everything I heard, the diamond chisels are easier when starting outa for the leather I used, i could skive it down, but the leather I really want to use is a super soft leather and i haven't figured out how to skive it with it being so soft. Filing the gaps is a great idea before investing more money. Great idea. Thanks. Thanks everyone!!!

Here is another wallet I made yesterday and today. I am happy with my progress over the past few weeks. I do have a question though, I have the Tandy diamond leather chisels pictured below with the wallet. I am having issues where I cant punch all the way thru before the base of the chisel start pushing on the leather when i have a thick section. Without skiving down the leather to make the height less, what other options do I have? Are there chisels with longer teeth? I started researching and didn't find might right off the bat.

No, there is no closure, it is an open slot that lets someone slide paper money in, or cards if they wanted. I believe it was/is water buffalo, but not 100%. Came off a discount rack LOL. I used the 3.1 Tandy diamond chisels. Based on everything I am reading, I am going to keep using them for the time being, but most likely upgrade as they don't seem to be overly consistent and I struggle at times to get it thru the leather. But maybe it is user error

Here is my first completed wallet ever made. well actually, minus a lighter cover, my first anything ever made with leather. Nothing crazy and I see several areas of improvement, but thought I would share. I did get a little crazy with the edging and the burnisher when ahead and coated the front side of the pockets.

Welcome to the group! Is that a seat for a tree stand that loops around the tree without the rest of the stand? Looks kind of like rappelling gear...I am probably way off base here though

oh, this is for a buddy. I am a former cigarette smoker and never took up cigars as I feared it would be a gateway drug back to cigarettes...plus they don't smell good. Now a pipe...maybe HA As for molding the top and bottom, I we the bottom and put in the dowel rods. Once dry, I will wet the top and put over the bottom with the rods still in it. I was worried about trying to slide wet leather over wet leather, especially with how tight it was doing when the leather was all dry.

doing the wet molding today on the bottom and the top tomorrow. We shall see how it goes. Bad news, if the cigars measure 1" in diameter, it only fits 2 cigars.

From what I have watched, there are many different ways to do wet molding. Some with just water, some with oils and a few other ways. The way I am trying first is to measure everything out. Then glue, stitch and burnish. After doing that, you wet the leather and put the dowel rods into the bottom. once full dried, wet the leather for the lid and slide that over to fully dry.....finished product. No idea how it is going to turn out, but gotta try and see I did get a pony. I was trying hand stitching, but didn't go so well, so more practice there. I did order a higher quality thread which comes next week, so hoping to see how that looks Cheers
