  1. @Michael Sheldon I would like to talk to you about your Neels #5 If possible. I live about 3 1/2 hours away close to Kingman az Thanks, Terry
  2. Is any of these machines still available? If so please PM me .
  3. Is any of these machines still available? If so please contact me with info , Regards, Terry
  4. The character it has was earned from daily use and abuse , it deserves a retirement . I believe that I got my $35.00 worth out of it
  5. The original was a Tagua brand and it is about5 or 6oz. It held up very well considering I would crawl around under my backhoe or truck and never took it off. Needless to say I have stopped getting on the ground unless I fall
  6. I think you did a fantastic job. I don't have a problem with the retention strap , I have made several holsters in the Tom Threeperson style. It was Elmer Keith's favorite, that's good enough for me. https://images.app.goo.gl/cjWb6M19Sz69L5Pe8
  7. Clean and 100% functional ,great job
  8. The neatsfoot would probably work as long as the strap is wet enough to stretch.
  9. Very nicely done and that welt is insane. Whenever I'm forming a wet or a dyed holster I wrap the gun or knife in a couple layers of saran wrap to keep the moisture off. Perhaps just wet the retention strap and cover your glock and snap it and let it dry. Just a suggestion.
  10. Great job on the whole wallet. I struggle with basket weave stamping myself but I will keep trying, maybe someday
  11. I layed out a stich line that I didn't follow so I will go back to the machine and take care of that today
  12. Thanks, now I have to break it in, it's 8 to 9 Oz and heavier leather than the other one
  13. This is a factory made holster that I have worn for 3 plus years. It has held up pretty good considering what I've done to it. So I decided to try and make a new one for my Sig 365 xl everyday carry (and I do mean everyday). Let me know what you think.
  14. My 1911's are like shaking hands with an old friend, they just fit.
  15. You made a good choice, a carry gun has to be reliable and comfortable for your style of shooting.
  16. Nice job on the holster, I also like the simplicity of the shoulder strap. Good choice on the G3, I worked at a local gun shop for 5 years and we sold a lot of that model with very few warranty issues. My personal carry gun is a Sig p365 xl.
  17. It hasn't rained in a month , It clouds up and the sunrise and sunsets are the same.
  18. I haven't been on the site for a while but I just wanted to share my view this morning from my desert compound. I hope you all stay safe this Holiday season.
  19. I really appreciate everyone's advice. I called my dealer and told him I was going to pass on that machine,at least I got to him before he spent the time to set it up and service it. I think I will work more with my 206 rb and possibly look at a Tippman Pro, or Cowboy outlaw hand crank for a second machine for heavier work
  20. Your reply is greatly appreciated, I don't think it is the right machine for what I may be doing in the future , Thanks to you and Matt S for your honest advice . I will probably be better off saving the $500.00 plus and look for a machine more suitable for holsters and such. I belive I will call my dealer and tell him I'm going to pass on the 168w-101. Maybe a tippman or Cowboy will show up. Thank again, Terry
  21. Thanks for the input my current machine is actually a Japanese Consew 206 Rb-2 that I made a holster for my son in law and I found the limits of what it can do. I was hoping with the post bed and once a servo is installed that I might be able to go up to 3 layers of 8 or 9 oz leather, perhaps I should keep looking.

  23. My local shop has a old Singer168w 101 for sale I am planning on buying it once he get serviced and shows me it's working properly. It has a table and light ,the motor is the clutch drive monster. I can get it for $400.00 ,the way it sits after the service, the first change will be a servo set up, so I will be in it $525.00 or so with new servo. I am new to machines so I was hoping someone here could give me an opinion on the price. The photo that I have can't download because of size. It looks to be in good shape for a 60 plus year old unit. Thanks in advance for any opinions good or bad I have no money invested yet. Terry
