I have a friend of the family that has bought a sewing machine. I cannot find any info on this particular machine to help them out. Just wondering if anyone knows anything that may help. Thanks in advance.

Here is the general guide to singer machines version 11. the SV is special version and is generally used for  customers wanting extra parts fitted so no way of identifying what was special.

Thanks chrisash! Couldn't see the guide, but thanks for the info. Didn't know that SV stood for special version. The Singer website didn't even list that particular model.

Thanks Wizcrafts! Now I need to research which of those is closest to the 11-39.

Looks like it's missing the presser foot leaf spring - One from a Singer 7 would probably work.

The model number giveth, and the subclass taketh away ......... Sometimes

Wizcrafts, do you have a suggestion for finding a operating manual for the Singer 11-39?

if you cannot find a manual look for Singer 7 manual (flat bed machine instead of cylinder arm). There were some different models but I´m sure one will be close to your Singer 11 in terms of the operational / control parts, threading and so forth.
