Members ojd Posted May 12, 2022 Members Report Posted May 12, 2022 I'm still trying to find a manual for BUSM pilot sewing machine. Anyone? Quote
Members Wilitrun Posted May 26, 2022 Members Report Posted May 26, 2022 Hi OJD, I'm sorry to say I'm not having much luck getting information here either. I did a Google search, and it took me to a thread started on this forum in 2013: By my count, there are at least three members in that thread with an identical machine, and at least two of them now have a copy of the manual. Try reaching out to them. If it looks anything like the one in the picture on that thread, it's beautiful and I hope you get the info you need. The thread has been revived a few times now, so there must be some interest! Good luck. Quote

Northmount Posted December 24, 2022 Report Posted December 24, 2022 Here is the file: Pilot%20manual-compressed.pdf Thanks to @samadlingtonleather Quote
Members ojd Posted December 29, 2022 Author Members Report Posted December 29, 2022 Yes, excellent. Thanks to the manual I managed to get mine up and running. Or, maybe more like I prioritised it. Now I need a supply of needles. I'm running low on 45 degree cutting point needles. Attached a photo of my machine. (Annoying file size limit, we're not living in the age of fax modems anymore). Not my fudgy looking weld on the cracked base! I can do it better than that! Quote
Members Constabulary Posted December 29, 2022 Members Report Posted December 29, 2022 (edited) Is it a needle feed machine? How do the bobbins look like? What is the max. stitch length and max. foot lift? I would like to see a video how this thing works!!!! Edited December 29, 2022 by Constabulary Quote
Members ojd Posted December 29, 2022 Author Members Report Posted December 29, 2022 (edited) Yes, needle feed. Also has a little extra guide bar below the needle plate which pushes on the needle. The bobins are like a small thread spool. Two discs on a hollow axle. I can make a video when I get the time. Max. Stitch length is rather short, about 6-7 mm. Foot lift is good tho.
