Members Dink Posted January 28, 2010 Members Report Posted January 28, 2010 I have recently been using leather from Panhandle leather in Amarillo and have so far been very happy with them. They carry many leathers and manufaturers, including Herman Oaks Dink Quote

Members RCZWL Posted February 16, 2010 Members Report Posted February 16, 2010 Can anyone recommned a good supplier where you could buy most of the supplies you would need? One stop shopping I guess. Considerations would be price, selection & service. Looking for one place I can buy: leather (better than the cheap stuff I've been hardware (snaps, screws, rivets...) belt clips dyes finishes (fiebings bag kote, resolene...) Thanks! Zack White Leather Carries all of the above. www/zackwhite.com Do you know about Nova Leather in Canada? They've got a huge assortment of wallet kits. They don't show all the products they make on their site, but you can go there to order a catalog. http://www.novaleather.com/ Kate Try Zack White Leather Co. www.zackwhite.com Quote Rhonda Cox Zack White Leather Co. Ambassador abn Posted April 28, 2010 Ambassador Report Posted April 28, 2010 On this topic, I might add that I had the recent pleasure of placing my first order with Springfield Leather Company. I was looking for some items that Tandy didn't stock. I called SLC and the young lady I spoke with was extremely courteous and efficient; we set up a new account in about two minutes. Even though one of my items was a special-ordered C.S. Osborne tool, I received my shipment in only five business days via UPS. Their selection is impressive, with an extensive list of items from Tandy, C.S. Osborne, Hermann Oak, Chaylor-Fenneli, Artisan, and others. Perhaps the most helpful thing is that they're willing to assist hobbyists like me in dealing with larger wholesale firms like Ohio Travel Bag -- or help find special items I'm looking for. I apologize if this post is starting to sound like an advertisement, but I think it's important to give credit where it's due. Kevin and his crew were a real pleasure to do business with. -Alex Quote

I just looked at their prices. I happen to live just across the river from St. Louis...20 minutes according to Yahoo Maps. I'm going to head over to S-T Leather this weekend! Thanks a ton, Ellen Quote
Members funnygirl62221 Posted May 2, 2010 Members Report Posted May 2, 2010 Hi all, I felt the need to report in to you about my trip to St. Louis today. I went to S-T Leather mostly to check it out and see how the prices and selection compared to EBAY or Tandy. Let me just say there was no comparison. For example, I purchased a 3/4 " alphabet stamp set for around $18 (never seen it on EBAY for less than $30) and a multi-size strap end punch for around $20. 50 yards of latigo lace was only about $18. The place is set up like a warehouse so you can't really browse but they have a very nice catalogue. I would locate what I wanted in it and the young man who was helping me would go get it. They don't have online sales which is a pain but I imagine that is one way they keep their prices so low. You can call in an order or fax it to them though. to Tina, who recommended this store.
