CFM chuck123wapati Posted February 3, 2023 CFM Report Posted February 3, 2023 that looks a lot better. Quote Worked in a prison for 30 years if I aint shiny every time I comment its no big deal, I just don't wave pompoms. “I won’t be wronged, I won’t be insulted, and I won’t be laid a hand on. I don’t do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.” THE DUKE!
Members Mulesaw Posted February 14, 2023 Members Report Posted February 14, 2023 That looks fantastic. Being able to see the entire bearer of the flag makes an incredible difference. Sorry for the late comment, but our Internet provider on board (Telenor Maritime ) is completely useless and unable to supply any forms of communications as soon as we leave the path generally trodden (sailed). And the South Atlantic Ocean diagonally isn't exactly a maritime expressway :-) Brgds Jonas Quote
Members DwightT Posted February 14, 2023 Author Members Report Posted February 14, 2023 (edited) Thanks all. I'm almost finished with the final case. As with any project there are some things that I would do differently if I had to do it again, but on the whole I'm pretty happy with the way its turning out. I'll post in the "Show Off" area tomorrow when I'm done. And thanks again for the feedback on the tooling pattern. I think that really helped me to make it better than what I had originally come up with. /dwight Edited February 14, 2023 by DwightT Quote

Veeerrrry Carefully. Yes, it was kind of a pain. I painted the blue field first (trying to keep the blue paint off the stars), then once that dried I went back with a fine-point artists brush to do the stars. This time I tried to keep the white paint only on the stars, but I didn't worry too much about slopping over onto the field. Once that paint dried I went back again with the fine-point brush and touched up the blue. I found that it was easier to cover the white slop with the blue paint than it was to try to cover any blue slop on the itty bitty white stars without slopping onto the blue field again. /dwight Quote

Stood many a line, some even with my 4 year old granddaughter. Thanks for what you do!!
