I find it’s easier for me to have a plan before I start turning or building a project. I still haven’t weighed it yet. Now I’m thinking it might only weigh about 16-18 oz. I just sorta compared it to a bag of gummy bears I “had”.

Well I weighed the maul today at the market. It comes in at just a couple grams over 16 oz.

Very nice! Did you recycle the HDPE?  How hard is it compared to nylon or delrin?

It’s holding up really great. I don’t use it for for large stamps. Like my makers mark. I use a 18 oz. dead blow hammer I got at harbor freight for those. No bounce with that. But it works great with the basket weave stamp

I'm with both of these guys . . . love making things . . . seldom use a drawing as I either lose it . . . or forget to follow it.

I have an ability that I've been told very few folks have . . . I can 3D blueprint something in my head . . . and then refine it as I begin to make it.

Worst thing that happens . . . it's sometimes a bit on the big side . . . but that's easily fixed.

But as others have said . . . good job.

I'm gonna put one on here just as soon as I get it fixed for me.

May God bless,

Dwight

If you can breathe, . . . thank God.

If you can read, . . . thank a teacher.

If you are reading this in English, . . . thank a veteran.

Excellent job buddy. The woodworking is great too. I wish all of you guys would start making videos of these things that you're doing to post. I love to see this stuff in action.
