edsmower Report post Posted June 2, 2023 Notice on the picture with the blue background dead center in that picture is a part that's obviously made and not a singer part. It's a small screw and I don't think it's the right length. Maybe that's part of my problem??
dikman Report post Posted June 2, 2023 Bottom picture, right-hand side, that little bracket with the hole looks like it fits onto the bolt just above it? I can't tell if it's got a thread on it.
CowboyBob Report post Posted June 2, 2023 Are you sure there's enough slack in the foot lift chain(or wire) from the pedal to the lifter arm on the backside?
edsmower Report post Posted June 2, 2023 Yeah the lift chain is not hooked up
edsmower Report post Posted June 2, 2023 Maybe that's the wrong foot and it's too short Is anybody have a machine they can measure the foot length
Wizcrafts Report post Posted June 2, 2023 Maybe the presser foot bar is binding when it is in the lifted position. If so, loosen any set screws that might be holding in bearings on the top and bottom of the presser bar. If that drops the foot, find the best position and tighten the screws to keep them in a good spot. It would help to pull out the presser bar and clean off any residue or dings with emory cloth.
