Members MarshalWill Posted January 26, 2024 Members Report Posted January 26, 2024 Beautiful work on that handle. Very attractive as well as functional. As an alternative to putting an acorn nut on the head end, just recess the nylock nut so you can stand the maul on its end if you wish. I did that with one I made. Not a maul but a mallet. Still it's nice to not have anything sticking out up there. Quote

I turned my wood mauls with a flat top. But I just knock them over all the time, so I don't stand them up. Edited January 26, 2024 by Harry Marinakis Quote

Then that's not an issue. Enjoy that fine maul you made. Quote
Members MarshalWill Posted January 26, 2024 Members Report Posted January 26, 2024 That UHMW is great stuff. That's what I use on mine. Quote

Members AndrewWR Posted January 30, 2024 Members Report Posted January 30, 2024 Loving the way the curves intersect the grid to produce such eyecatching patterns. With you on the not standing it on end issue too. I usually use one of my shot filled weight bags to plonk it on. It stay where I leave it then. Quote
