Johanna Report post Posted November 29, 2007 We have added categories to the Marketplace forum. We are locking and closing older "for sale" threads, or ones marked as "Sold!" Art graciously volunteered to moderate this area, and will be happy to discuss the new "dealer designation" with qualified applicants. We are happy to host leatherland's free classified ads! Please post your business ad today! Johanna
Peter Ellis Report post Posted November 29, 2007 So today at work I hopped over to the forums, did *not* log in, and started browsing. Came across the new Marketplace sections, and took a look. No problem, went right in, opened up threads... Got home, came to the forums and logged in. And here, I can't access those same marketplace sections and threads that I was able to access without being logged in. Color me confused....

Johanna Report post Posted November 29, 2007 Go to the main page and delete your cookies set by this board. Log out, then in. I did a lot of mods today, and I might have been working when you tried to see the new forums. We moved lots of posts today, and all should be in order now. gunfighter48 Report post Posted November 29, 2007 (edited) Every time I try to open anything in the for sale items it says " The error returned was: Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available. " ??????? I also get the same error message trying to use the new Specialties forums. Johanna Report post Posted November 29, 2007 On the main page, right above the section at the bottom titles "board statistics", on the right, click "delete cookies set by this board". Click the "help" at the top right of the page, then "cookies" to get detailed instructions for clearing cookies in different browsers. Reboot and find your tinfoil hat. Regis Report post Posted November 29, 2007 Johanna, I deleted cookies, rebooted (not just stop/start browser) and got into the new area and able to read posts. BUT, when viewing new posts, I selected "Mark all forums as read". Now, back to the can't read in new forum. May have to go through the cokie/reboot thing again??? Mike Craw Report post Posted November 29, 2007 I still haven't gotten an answer to where all the doughnuts are that I keep reading about, and we've moved on to getting rid of cookies. I'm gonna need a whole tinfoil suit! Mike
skipj Report post Posted November 29, 2007 Johanna, I did as you suggested and still cant look at the for sale articles. Don't know if its the tinfoil hat or my Firefox browser. SkipJ
Regis Report post Posted November 29, 2007 As long as I don't login, I can fully access the marketplace (delete cookies, restart browser, don't login). When I login I can no longer access marketpalce below menues.
Johanna Report post Posted November 29, 2007 I'm sorry you guys are having these problems. I don't know why this is happening either. I have been looking around the IPB site for an answer beyond clearing cookies. If I don't find anything better, tonight I will zap the whole forum while wearing my own tinfoil hat. Interesting that it works for some of you when you log out. Skipj- I thought you got yours working? Johanna
skipj Report post Posted November 29, 2007 (edited) Sorry, I meant that I had found my way to the cookies. How to remove that is. It says I I'm not allowed access, may not be logged in and right below that, it shows me logged in. I'm using Firefox, I have trouble with some sites using that browser.
