They said that they (like myself) use x-ray film on the back of their tooling projects. What was the 3M product that you use and does it come off easily? Leave much on the flesh/ etc etc etc.. indypbear Report post Posted January 8, 2008 Pete-Tandy still has it or can get it for you. The item# is 3500-00/yard @ ret. $2.99. For the back of your project try shelf paper. It comes off easily for no lining projects or spoiled x-ray film (that they throw out) with rubber cement for lined projects. Hope that helps. Mike Report post Posted January 9, 2008 I use X-ray film. Use a stiff piece of mat board or something similar and spread a THIN coat of rubber cement to the film. Let it get tacky before laying the leather on it. I have x-ray film cemented to the mat board and re-use it for each project. You can erase the rubber cement off with a gum eraser. The stuff Tandy sells is tracing mylar...should be available at any full supply art store. It is very pricey....heck I just use paper.
