Need Moccasin pattern

I am sure I could personally conjure up a pair of moccasins that I could wear.

I need more than that.

With my neuropathy in my feet . . . any shoe I have ever worn . . . begins to hurt my feet after 4 or 5 hours . . . they HAVE TO  come off.

I want to make a pair of mocassins that will stand maybe "short" cowboy boot height . . . maybe 4 inches above my ankle

If you have such an animal . . . I'd love to see it.

Tandy has a nice moccasin pattern pack with 3 type of different moccasins types. 

You might look into it.

DO you mean something like this but a little shorter?

 

The foot part in these are a little impractical though. 

Diesel punk has some shoes that rise above the ankles. Those are not moccasins though. His directions are excellent as well.

His moccasins are great too - I wear mine all the time. So maybe you could try making them, only taller. I fact, I have heard that he is very helpful. He might guide you on how to make them taller.

For "authentic" patterns I found this book: "Craft Manual of North American Indian Footwear" by George M White.
It is a bit hard to find.
