Thing181 Report post Posted Monday at 05:26 PM I'm helping a friend sell some equipment that was used by her late husband. I don't know how to operate them and haven't found a lot of information on them. They're heavy and will be hard to get out of the shop in one piece and they are 100 miles from a big city. I've listed them on Facebook. People seem to like them, but I don't know how to price them. I'm not opposed to taking them apart and listing the parts on Ebay. Is there even a demand for old machines like this? I don't want to sell them for scrap metal, they really are well made. It looks like I'll need to post 3 more pictures in a separate post. Quite a few people who own these machines or want them do not also possess the technical knowledge to work on them. I can drive a car, but would be walking everywhere if I also had to know how to work on the transmission. If they're working, include video of them functioning in whatever post you're selling them in. You could also post a classified in Leatheworkers Journal and / or Illume magazine. You'll reach a target audience of serious leather workers.
RidgebackCustoms Report post Posted Monday at 06:32 PM Check out the post of a similar machine in Leather History. Some members have experience with them based on this thread.
AlZilla Report post Posted Monday at 11:42 PM If that stitcher is anything close to functional, parting it out would be an epic tragedy and probably harder to do.
Constabulary Report post Posted Tuesday at 06:46 AM I would look for bespoke shoe / boot makers in your area or other states and contact them. Maybe some will travel for nice old machines. https://www.google.com/search?q=bespoke+shoe+boot+makers+idaho Or look for shoe machinery companies who sell and / or rebuild such machines. Thing181 Report post Posted Thursday at 07:53 PM Thanks, you guys sound like my wife everytime I think about taking things apart. They all work, so I'll leave them alone for a while. I did find the manual or parts list for the champion (I haven't looked at it closely yet).

If your files are too large to post here due to file size restrictions, you need to resize your files to fit. Follow this link for some helps and suggestions. https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/15122-how-to-post-pictures-on-lw/?do=findComment&comment=551171 There are lots of Apps, software, and online tools available on the web, or even built into your device to enable you to reduce your file sizes. 800 pixels in the longest dimension is quite adequate. Smart phone screens and many monitors don't display high res files in high resolution. People that live on the fringes of the internet appreciate smaller file sizes and high res photos may take from 10 minutes to hours to download.
