Mike Craw Report post Posted October 25, 2007 I may be doing something wrong, or there may be a technical problem with member profiles. Every time I click on one to view the profile, it appears on the screen for a split second, and then it disappears and all I have is a white screen. I clicked on several different ones, and it happened every time. Mike

Johanna Report post Posted October 25, 2007 I've got a problem with the profiles line in the database, but it only seems to be causing problems selectively. When I think I get it fixed, I'm going to need to ask you for confirmation, Mike. Thanks for letting me know what you are seeing. Johanna
Mike Craw Report post Posted October 25, 2007 I am always hesitant to mention a problem with a computer because, well to paraphrase what Monkey said, more often than not, "It's not you, it's me." Mike
Billsotx Report post Posted October 25, 2007 I'm getting the same. I figured someone was monkeying around somewhere ... lol!

Mike Craw Report post Posted November 1, 2007 It's happening again today. The member profile page appears and then flashes to a blank white page with some kind of code in the upper left corner. Or, maybe it's just me... Mike
Jordan Report post Posted November 1, 2007 (edited) it happens to me also, but my browser goes to some strange search page then says it can't find the profile Also I updated some stuff like avitar and picture, does this take awhile to change or is it right away? Johanna Report post Posted November 1, 2007 I tried to fix it yesterday, wonder if I broke it a little more? I have a support ticket in for tomorrow- with luck, I'll get it squared away. Hey, Jordan- avatars and stuff should be immediate. Press the F5 key to force the page to refresh. Johanna
Jordan Report post Posted November 1, 2007 didn't work, jpg looked way out of kilter, aspcect ratio maybe? They were plenty small as far as pixl and size. reverted them back to what I had b4 & they are ok.
Billsotx Report post Posted November 8, 2007 Jo, Are you still working on those website malfunctions. I get the following (see below) when ever I attempt to check a profile, including my own. Sometimes, but most often not, when I click "refresh" on the tool bar I will get the profile. If it's my machine I'm open to fixin' it if you can tell me what to do. It appears the IE scripts problem is resolved with your instructions (an Romey's ... not ... lol!) from the other post. I appreciate that. Just wondering is you're still working on it or it's me; not complaining. 'til later, ~Bill This program cannot display the webpage Most likely causes: You are not connected to the Internet. Beaverslayer Report post Posted November 8, 2007 And mine, has been for about a month now, and it's not keeping track of how many times your profile has been viewed. Ken
Mike Phelps Report post Posted November 8, 2007 I haven't had any problems viewing profiles in over a week. Checked out one earlier today for a members e-mail addy to send some patterns as the member's PM mailbox here on site was full. Just clicked on mine it works. showed all visitors today, yesterday etc. I run Mozilla/Firefox browser on this PC and Netscape on another. IE Explorer was just slow, error prone, etc. Only time I open it is when an online site requires it for viewing the site or certain features on site which thankfully is rare. Johanna Report post Posted November 8, 2007 I was hoping it was fixed, guess it isn't. Weird thing is that it works just fine for me, on both computers. I cannot duplicate the problem here. I had hoped that clearing up the database error would be enough, guess it wasn't. I will submit another ticket. Sorry, folks, I will keep on it. Johanna (PS I merged the two threads.) Beaverslayer Report post Posted November 8, 2007 I logged on using Firefox, and it worked fine, except that it still does not tally up how many times the profile was viewed. Also, with firefox, the fonts are all small and funny looking compared to IE and hard on my old eyes. Ken

Billsotx Report post Posted November 8, 2007 I'm running IE just in case that makes a difference. I figured out how to get around the quirk. Click the profile, click refresh, click back and I get the profile consistently. A pain but it seems work time and again, so will do that until the bug is found. Maybe this will help others. I couldn't get to my own profile from a thread and sometimes had to close my browser and reopen it. I guess I should look at another browser. Just what I like to do mess with a computer learning curve while I could be beating a dead cow ... lol! If I notice that the bug's gone away I'll let you know Johanna. Talk later ....... Regis Report post Posted November 8, 2007 IE 7.0.5730.11 has the problem of needing to go back a page (after selecting profile) to get the profile. Refresh doesn't seem to matter. Otherwise, profile comes up normal after going back a page.
Billsotx Report post Posted November 8, 2007 Now nothing works. I can't even get back to the thread with the back button. I assume something is being worked on and it'll clear up later. Just letting you know.
Johanna Report post Posted November 8, 2007 Yep, that was probably me. I'm trying to get this fixed. It's hard becauseI have to wait to ask if it's better or broken more every time I make a change, as it works just fine for me, no matter what. Please, folks, let me know if I do something to make it even worse! Johanna
