Looking for a border stamp

What's this stamp number, that's been for the edge in marked circle? It seems I cannot find it anywhere, just other "grainy" stuff..

Not sure if correct, but surely looks very very simmilar. Also, super expensive (found brass version for 60USD /3pcs.).

Any other that kind of stamps I can find, preferably from standard palette? These are from Sergey Neskromny, but I'd rather stick to Craftool stamps.

I wasn't able to track down  Craftool that's similar so far.

140 bucks for something you can make with a file in about ten minutes. Actually looks like a dull chisel was used.

Sergey makes brass or steel. Big difference in price point. That said, for a background like that I’m not sure how important crisp imprints would be. I wouldn’t want to pay that kind of money either.  If I’m not mistaken CraftJapan makes a stamp like that. Actually a dull chisel is not such a bad idea either

making background tools with these abstract impressions is very easy. stainless steel bolts and a file or a punch, as you can see in my pic above. just round off and shape your bolt head then go to town if you do not like the impression grind it off and try again.

Then guess what people will come on here and ask where you bought it lol. I will put this out there, most of the original tool stamps are copies of handmade tools from years back. I also use tools like straight-blade screwdrivers, the edge of a half-dollar etc, just use your imagination and you can find tons of designs.

Here's a couple i made for a person on the forum looking to restore a very old piece of work. it was obvious by the designs that the originals were handmade as well. Simply made with a file.

I agree that making your own is easy. A good portion of mine are made from bolts. Stainless bolts are certainly the best to make them from but you can get by with other materials too.

This is a bit older, but may give you an idea of what is/was available from Tandy/Craftool .... Some of the older discontinued ones MIGHT be found on eBay as well.

Holy shit man! That’s really cool! I know what I’ll try my hand on next… Well, first I should get this leatherwork thingy more perfected lol. Definitely really cool though. Hands above than any craftool plated stamps, if I may say so. I got tons of bolts and old tool flying around and some metal shaping tools too (been also trying my hand at making knives). Not sure if I got the talent to make em to get as nice of an impression as yours but I’ll surly give it a try anyhow. Mighty fine job there sir.
