Members fsrground Posted February 6 Members Report Posted February 6 I have a juki 1341 that I'd love to get rid of the knee lift and goto a pedal lift. I see in the manual you can do it and see the parts for it but I haven't been able to find a how to or what exactly to do. has anyone done this, has pictures or a video on how too ? thank you a head of time Sean Quote

I've just done the opposite and changed the pedal to a knee lift. Mine is a clone but the original had a chain that went from the bit at the back straight through the table to the pedal on the frame. I've heard I have to drill a hole in one of the plates on the back of the machine or do I just remove the knee lift from the front and reposition where it connects to and drill a hole through the table to connect it ? 7 minutes ago, toxo said: HaHa! Members fsrground Posted February 6 Author Members Report Posted February 6 This is what mine looks like from the back and front so I'm still a little confused on how to do it .. do I need to get some optional equipment Quote
Members dikman Posted February 6 Members Report Posted February 6 (edited) Can you tilt the head back and take photos of the inside? There must be a connection point inside for the chain. Edited February 6 by dikman Quote
toxo Posted February 6 Report Posted February 6 I'm guessing the spring has something to do with it. Needs a spring to pull it back up. Quote

The clones of the Juki differ from the original but this fairly easy, simple change and you really don't need extra parts except for the chain and foot pedal. What part of Canada are you in?? Procedure: 1. Remove knee pad and connector from front of the knee shaft extending out from the machine. 2. Unlock and tilt the machine back 3. Loosen the connector for the knee lift horizontal shaft inside 4. Slide knee lift horizontal shaft out the back of the machine and re-tighten connector. 5. Install knee lift rod, install chain from the end of the lifting connector down to the pedal. 6. Job done Here is a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwvWsuxPAD0 at 4:06 is what the horizontal shaft should look like at 16:29 to 16:58 installation of foot pedal kgg Quote
