Beaverslayer Report post Posted May 14, 2007 Hi, My names Ken and I'm into Hand Lacing and such. I don't know how I found this place, but I am EXTREMELY impressed with what I have seen so far. I know of Beeza from another forum and have always been amazed at his work, now I have a whole lot more people to be amazed with. Anyways, have a look and please let me know what you all think of what I do...constructive critisisum is greatly appreciated.
Johanna Report post Posted May 14, 2007 Yep, you're gonna fit in here just fine. We have some pretty leather and great people. ClayB is in charge of the doughnuts, I just make the coffee. Shoot me a PM if you want access to the adult area. Welcome to the board, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work (I love fancy lacing!) I can't believe how much lacing you've done on these projects -- my hands hurt just looking at them. Welcome to the forums, and thanks for sharing your pics and your intro. Really nice work! Beaverslayer Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Hi, Ken - welcome, and nice work! Cool cap - is that patterned after a 19th century military forage cap? (aka "kepi")Kate Hi Kate, Thanks for the warm welcome. The hat is from my head, I took a normal baseball cap and cut it all up into pieces, then took each piece and made them into a little different shape. Once it was all laced together, thats what came out. That's an understatement. I can't believe how much lacing you've done on these projects -- my hands hurt just looking at them. Thanks Alex, I know what you mean about sore hands. Some of my vests take 50 to 60 hours just to lace, but it is so relaxing to just sit and lace. I'll post some more pics of my more elaborate ones and you can see what really makes a hand sore. Thanks again for the warm welcome That vest is great. Love the eagle. Welcome aboard! Thanks for the warm welcome "Major" ....I stood and saluted as I typed that..... I'm glad to see that you all like my work, and am even more glad that after so many years on the net I.ve found this place...glad to be here. Hi Ken Welcome the vest is great i really like it Thanks for the warm welcome Don, I'm really glad to be here. And thanks for the compliment on the vest.
