Tooled rifle strap

It's been awhile since I've posted here but wanted to share this rifle strap I finished up the other day

Looking really good.

I like that that the rivets have some texture. That is a nice touch.
Also the creasing on the top part of the strap (the part with the rivets) looks really fine and consistent.

Thank you. I figured the "fancy" Chicago screws added a bit of flair rather than just plain ones. Thank you.

But, what ruins the look for me is that short strap coming over the top and almost blocking out one leaf, leaving a hint of it

That is really nice! If I may ask, where did you get the pattern for that. I'd love to make one for one of my rifles.

Thank you! One of AL Stohlman's books. Might have been how to carve or his holster book. Sorry don't really remember off the top of my head
