Members LeoWe Posted November 21 Members Report Posted November 21 Hello, I’ve received an old lady. She spent 10 years in a basement. It’s an Adler 467-373 that comes from an upholstery shop. My problem is that it frays the upper thread, and I think the timing is off. I cannot find the screw on the shaft to loosen the hook on this model. I’m sure you can help me. I’ve attached a few pics. thank you Leo Quote

AlZilla Posted November 22 Report Posted November 22 Is the needle the right size for the thread? Moderator Wizcrafts Posted November 22 Moderator Report Posted November 22 I'd advance the shuttle a bit so the tip arrives a little higher above the needle's eye. Contributing Member friquant Posted 23 hours ago Contributing Member Report Posted 23 hours ago Do you have a user manual? These three separate adjustments work together to form a stitch without splitting the thread: Needle bar rise (how far the needle has risen from bottom dead center when the hook point crosses the needle) Needle bar height (where in the scarf the hook crosses the needle) Hook to needle distance (How much space between the hook and the scarf...ideally none) Quote friquant.
