rktaylor Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 (edited) My son just started in construction and asked for a tool belt. I should have just bought him one. It was a fun project and like most things for me, I immediately wanted to build another to fix my mistakes. Critiques are welcome. Randy Edited January 21 by rktaylor Quote
Members Mablung Posted January 21 Members Report Posted January 21 Marvelous work! I see why you now feel you should have just bought him one, lol. Quote
Members Chipster99 Posted January 21 Members Report Posted January 21 Holy cow, that’s amazing! I hope he’s a big boy - that looks like it would hold 1000 pounds of tools, lol!! Nice job! Quote
Members Goldshot Ron Posted January 21 Members Report Posted January 21 Impressive Randy. I made a tool belt for an electrician a few years ago, and there is more that goes into the project than what many people would think. A whole new line of work for you to consider. Ron Quote
rktaylor Posted January 21 Author Report Posted January 21 Thanks for the compliments. All in all, it was a fun learning experience. Not sure it's a new direction though. I'll be really interested to see how it holds up during use. Randy Quote

The only way that gets better for me is if the pouches are modular. It's one of those bespoke things you can afford to have because you're a leather worker. Everything slides on, so you can move items where you want. However the pockets on each side are all sewn and riveted together. I think I have enough leather left to build a smaller tool pocket if he wants to change it out. Randy Quote
