Members dikman Posted Wednesday at 09:28 PM Members Report Posted Wednesday at 09:28 PM Quite a remarkable job! Just looking at it I can visualise the amount of work that went into it! One thing, though, the circular piece on the back where the four straps come into it looks like you've sewn across the straps. I made a pair of suspenders from leather and stitched across the yoke at the back and eventually the straps tore through at the stitching. Everything slides on, so you can move items where you want. However the pockets on each side are all sewn and riveted together. I think I have enough leather left to build a smaller tool pocket if he wants to change it out. Randy Yeah, I thought that's how it looked. If the smaller pockets popped off, he could adapt it job to job. Of course, the upside to one unit is he'll never wonder where the hell that little pouch went to ... 😬 Quote “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.” - Voltaire “Republics decline into democracies and democracies degenerate into despotisms.” - Aristotle

There are two straps and they simply pass through the circular piece. I placed the slots at 90 degrees because it seemed like a good idea. They should be closer to 60 degrees. 9 hours ago, Samalan said: I don't see a holster anywhere on that system? I'm not sure what you mean by holster. Randy Quote
Contributing Member Samalan Posted Thursday at 12:16 PM Contributing Member Report Posted Thursday at 12:16 PM You did a beautiful job on that belt. I was just joking, there's so much stuff on that belt I was thinking you could possibly get a holster behind the hammer holder in the small of the back, just joking around. You did a great job on that. I would wear that belt in a heartbeat, my friend. Quote

rktaylor Posted Friday at 01:34 AM Author Report Posted Friday at 01:34 AM (edited) Thanks for the compliments. I think a holster would fit but pretty soon you run out of waist. Well my son would, I have a little more. I have sewn across straps and learned the "tear on dotted line" lesson as well. It's a rite of passage. Randy Edited Friday at 01:34 AM by rktaylor Quote
