I admit to nothing....no matter what you see on the net... Thanks Roo now I'm all awkward and stuff...LOL jk. The nail polish is clear and I use it to block out the parts I don't want to take dye. Yeah...that's it......

Drac, No need to send bows. I have my own. lol Anyway, this is the idea previously posted. I forget what the bag style is called. Prolly horseshoe or spur or something like that. I think you will come up with cool designs. DAMN I need a sewing machine.
TomSwede Report post Posted February 26, 2008 (edited) Hey Spider! I been wondering what you were up to last few days! Once again we have same idea. My bag of the same type is just laying on the table waiting for assembly and top coat. I hate stitching! That bootstrap is also on my workbench just gotta fit it on the spur and it's ready. That's a cool nice looking bag, but off course, anything with skulls seduces me..lol. Love the skull with that headband girlie thingie on the forehead. That's the type of ideas one gets when tinkering with nailpolish, I just stick to my scoth and wearing a skirt for men What will you use the bag for? Mine is going to one of those flyfishingboys and the purpose is to carry the rel in it. Nice work, keep 'em coming! TomSwede Report post Posted February 27, 2008 Started stitching mine. Not as easy as one would think with this type, minor mistakes hav been made. The purpose is to gain experience so I'm okay with that. Fisherboy doesn't know he's gonna get as a freebie so I can do whatever I like with it but the endresult must reach to a certain level at least. You pulled off your fine so I'll keep my fingers crossed I don't make any more mistakes. I hate showing of stuff before it's completed or near completion. It'll draw bad luck upon me and there's just is that stuff i posted in Drac's thread with the mainpiece on this one. Makes me nervous. Did you glue the sides before sewing lacing? I think it's damn hard to line up the sides when sewing, equally hard to glue the whole side it seems to me so I have glued the start on both (about 4 inches down from top) and try to go from there. No energy to deal with it now so I'm just hangin around here annoying people Have a great evening, over and out! Tom

I prolly should have glued the sides but I didn't. I actually picked key parts and punched a hole and tied the material in place. I've seen it done on making seats. An update to the bag is that a friend gave me the suggestion to make the bottom flat. She said it would be better for diggin through the purse and getting stuff and also for setting it down. I will do that on the next one. I modified this one and put a piece of board on the bottom to stiffen it up also. Since this is my tester I can do that. I did a few things on this that I used to learn with. Concept is good but I need to refine my next one. Not bad for a portfolio piece though I think. TomSwede Report post Posted February 27, 2008 I have a plastic piece that I prolly fit on the bottom. It has perfect rigidness (what am I writing here..) to roll out the bottom nicely. Plastic 'cuz it will get wet down there (OMG..not again, cant stop miself). With a flat bottom glueing will be a lot easier. I use contact cement to have time to adjust the lineup and to get time for hangin' out at my favourite site, viewing my favourite projects. Good nite for tonite, Wednesday night and Thursday aswell. Have the graveyard shifts...unscheduled work sucks, need to be home and work the leather, oops! Tom

Spider Report post Posted March 2, 2008 very cool!!i have seen a few of those bags and thought about making one. after seeing yours a may just have to finally make one!! I say do it. Beeza, with your skills you will surely turn out a good looking piece. Nice bag design I haven't seen one like this in the UK... Rockywolf, then it is up to you to scare....i mean, introduce the UK to our style. Let me know if you have any questions. I found that making the bottom flat really helps and the ladies approved it already to set it down easier.

I will be adding a design like this to the FullMoons Products Line with a little spider hot Iron branded in there for a little twist and think about a re-design regarding the flat bottom for the ladies thanks for the thought Spider and frendship shown in your post there...
